Warning to Tartlets: This post does contain some anti-Tony comments. Please understand that this is not intended as malicious or an attack on the writers or Michael Weatherly, just as an honest dislike of one character trait portrayed in this episode.

Okay, so I lost a lot of respect for Tony on this episode. First of all, his constant "Probie" thing drove me nuts. But he came across as a controlling nice guy when it comes to women. I'd never wanted to date the character previously simply because of his lack of committment, but now I wouldn't date the man if he were the last guy on earth.

Aside from that part, I really enjoyed the episode. We're learning some interesting stuff about Gibbs. It appears as though his character is at least somewhat religious - he went to see the military chaplain about his marriage, plus reference to meeting women at church on Yankee White. However, he obviously isn't Catholic - based on The Immortals.

On the whole 'introduction order' - I've noticed several episodes where Gibbs introduces Kate before Tony. He seems to base the order he introduces in on the order everyone is standing in - the agent standing closest to him is introduced first.

The bad guy was as sick as they come - made for an enjoyably creepy episode. Ducky's assistant is not as painful as usual, I'm actually starting to enjoy the guy.

I love this one. It seems like the times when Tony is at his most annoying, he is also the most competent, and he was on fire during this case. Plus, he looked incredible - the hair! the shirts! the facial expressions - and the SHOULDER HOLSTER. Tony must have forgotten the shoulder holster in Florida, because it never appears again after this episode, which is a crying shame. (Do you think if we all started a petition, Sir Don would put it back in? Or am I the only one who has a fascination with that thing?)

It's interesting to see the development of the Tony/McGee relationship, from here to Season 3's Probie and the conversation in Singled Out in season 4. I think that they really are like brothers in that they give each other crap a lot.

I suspect that 'really small bordello' was a MW adlib.

Why on earth was Jane keeping her skinny sister's nuts on her desk? ???

I LOVE the shoulder holster! There's something about a man in a shoulder holster...

Oh, too funny. Someone found a Good Wives' Guide from Housekeeping Monthly and posted it on a gymnastics board. Here's the link but you'll probably need to paste the photo into word and magnify it to read it.

Sounds as bad as the one they mentioned on the ep.

Ha-ha, no kidding.

Edited to add: My mother taught a women's life skills course at the college, and used to share this as an example to show how far we've come and also to show women that they don't have to put up with that kind of treatment now.

Hey, Kelly, aren't you supposed to be dead? ;)

Gosh, don't let my dad or Tony near that thing. Ugh. Haha. My husband's gonna not be happy with me, that's for sure. I wouldn't follow those rules. ::)

Hi!
What was the painkiller Tony was helping himself at the end of the episode?

They looked like plain old aspirin or Excedrin to me. Just like the ones Tim was taking in Chained.

Thank you! Everything is different in US. I don't recognize car models, I have to be very careful with idioms AND I thought that poor Tim overdosed with the handful of pills he munched in "Chained"...

Gotta go and dig out my season two DVDs. Another drawback of being in Europe is that we get region two DVDs a year later than the region one releases. Not to mention that the first two seasons had no extras. And no Greek subtitles (I can live with no subtitles)

I re-watched this episode last night, I forgot how scary it was! (well, at least for me, I get frightened easily) I guess it was just the disturbing part about kidnapping women and have them hidden in a small room, while pretending to have a happy marriage. And seeing a skeleton bride was kinda creepy.

Old comment, but I totally agree! I love to see how McGee and Tony's relation ship kinda grows - going from McGee being.. well.. the probie and to him being more confident and stuff.

Okay this episode was creepy in a few ways and wasn't one of my favorites from Season 2 but it had McGee and Gibbs so I enjoyed it.

Ever think if Gibbs made a rule that states Ziva is not allowed to drive?
