Well that was convoluted and made as much sense as anything ever does on NCIS. It wasn't bad just unsatisfying. It was a bit of a let down from the first part.

I expected that there was a double, I just didn't expect Ari to throw him under the bus and I definitely didn't expect the ending. Very nice twists.
All-in-all an excellent two-part way to start season three. Direction, writing and action were superb. It was also a fitting sensitive send-off for Caitlan.
I think I'm gonna like Lauren Holly's character and I like Ziva a lot. I'm not sure she's gonna be a regular character though. More likely a semi-regular liasion with Mossad. I'd say we haven't heard the last of the stolen Israeli plutonium either.
It will be interesting to see how the production team handles the sizeable void left by Agent Caitlan Todd.

As usual, the ending left me forgiving a whole bunch of stuff that I thought was atrocious along the way. Mainly because I was just going, "I can't believe they actually did that!".
I like Jenn less than I did in part one, and I like Ziva more. Which means that they've both evened out to me being pretty neutral about them. (Although Lauren Holly just bugs. Probably more due to other things I've seen her in than anything she's done here.)
I think there was a lot of potential for this ep if they'd gone in some different directions after part one. A lot of things seemed to just fizzle out. The whole thing about Ducky's car really annoyed me. Much as I adore the Duck, that is time I thought could have been better spent developing any of the other plot lines.
And I'm not sure I'll ever get used to kinder, gentler Gibbs. Is he adopting that dog?

I was so amazed when Ziva shot Ari at the end and then revealed that she was his half-sister. I thought they were lovers or something. I still don't like Lauren Holly's character, but I have a new respect for Ziva. I bet there's going to be more about the Plutonium that was stolen. Can someone tell me about Gibbs daughter? If they know. I've never heard of her before. Thanks.

First I shall rejoice in the McAbbiness. The over the back hugs were adorable, but they don't necessarily say they're dating or anything. It was just cute and so needed at this time.
The second thing I'll talk about is how much McGee's scene where he finally sees Kate in the morgue got to me. I wasn't sure if he was crying, but I thought I might have seen a tear. I could kinda tell his voice was breaking a bit, but I could be wrong about that. The whole scene though got to me. People said they had cried in the last episode, but this is where it got me. I felt so bad for him and I was glad Tony acknowledged how much McGee did care about Kate.
I have to cheer Abby on her look at Ziva. She really looked ticked and like she would have clawed her eyes out given half the chance.
I'm a little curious now about Gibbs past. Are his first wife and apparently this daughter we may be hearing about the first time dead? Were they killed in some form of terrorist act? I'm a little intrigued about this.
Oh, and are we supposed to feel bad for Ziva now? Cuz I still don't want to like her. She ended such an interesting thing between Gibbs and Ari. I wanted that to go on until like the end of the series and there's a gunfight we never know the end to. And it was taken away. So not fair. I am a bit upset about this fact.
And that scene picked for McGee when he placed the flower on Kate's coffin was so not the right scene. I think it should have been the one from Witness when they're sitting in the back of the ambulance talking. That was not only my favorite episode, but the best scene between the two of them in my opinion.
I don't really have that much to say on Tony. I laughed a little at the pool thing. Stripping is always a fun thing.
It was kinda out there to borrow Ducky for a bit to distract Gibbs so people could get away. Something more interesting should have happened there.
And Jen's hair still looks like she stole a bird's nest then added some more hair to it. I want to take her to the salon and fix it or something. She annoys me just as much as Ziva. I hope their characters are fixed later.
Mostly I'm still annoyed that they killed Ari. Why? That was so not fair and it takes away an interesting aspect from the show. Maybe someone else will present themsevles as a worthy adversary.

Can someone tell me about Gibbs daughter? If they know. I've never heard of her before. Thanks. I'm sure that it was more than just a throwaway line. I would say we'll hear more about it in an up-coming storyline. ;D

I was so amazed when Ziva shot Ari at the end and then revealed that she was his half-sister. I thought they were lovers or something. wow she was his half sister. I too thought they were lovers. I'm guessing there was a funeral....was any of Kate's family there? Can't wait to see the episode.

I called it!! Check out Season Speculation 3 Thread. Do you think that Ziva will be able to go back to her position after having killed her half brother? Jen said that she owned her her life, so does Gibbs now. I think she is here to stay.

Trust DPB to put the cap on one 'can of worms' only to open up another one! Gibbs has a daughter, with his first wife ( and the wife must still be alive because he's still paying alimony, though not necessarily the daughter) and then they just leave us with that! Plus, it seemed to me that while the whole ep went by fairly fast, not alot was going on...Gibbs is wet, then dry fairly quickly, then wet again (he got wet alot here, I felt bad for MH, I hope he didn't get sick after this.). Gibbs knows where Shepherd lives , though I was under the impression she had just gotten back to D.C., and recruits her to go on Ari stakeout with him. That was kind of forced...we've heard mention of other agents, he could have found someone else to go with him, but then we wouldn't have gotten the cute 'remember when' scene. Hope we find out about the daughter fairly soon, and not have it dragged out all season.
