It's a beautiful word, it's like a combination of a mispronunciation of the word 'lovely' and also a wonderful mixture of 'lovely' and 'ruffly' at the same time (which is frankly a perfect description of McGee's hair!)!!! How descriptive does one word need to be?! My entire problem with the whole deal of fanficking is not actually writing, because I've always loved writing - my problem (and it's only developed in recent years) is that I'm pretty well squared away from a writing an introduction standpoint... but my brain just stops when I get past the intro!!! It's perpetual Writer's Block being stuck...! Quick two or three minute comedy sketches, fine, anything more than that - argh!!! Maybe I should just keep running with the intro I have and just free-write for a while... if anyone would care to have a read to tell me where I'm going wrong (I have a v. delicate ego so please be gentle - but I'm brave enough for constructive criticism!) then feel free to let me know!! LOL Team up with me! I can never get my intros, but I can get past that. Together, we would make the perfect writer. Hee hee... I have about a bazillion McGee/OC fics (wonder who I'm imagining as the OC... LOL) but they're all pretty much horrible as of now. Getting better, but still... I've got one that's going really well. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who gets one little idea, sits down, writes, stops writing, looks back, and goes "Wait! I didn't want the characters to do that!" I don't plan my writing at all, except for the vaguest skeleton of a plot. Which can/cannot be a bad thing. Ha ha ha! Page eight! I'm gonna push this again (since everyone's throwing out titles, and we're on page eight): Timmy the Pooh. It makes me giggle like a schoolgirl every time I think of it.

How on earth is someone with a handle like "Sean'sGirl" NOT a Probie's Princess??? Just curious. I do of course realize that there IS, in fact, more than ONE "Sean" on the planet... *ahem* Haha, yes saskie, I can understand your surprise (I even explained that in my Hey y'all 'cause I figured it'd be confusing). As you said, there's more than one Sean and the one my name refers to is actually my husband Anyway, I'll see you around ~SG

I'd certainly go for a Winnie-the-Pooh themed title for the next thread (gosh HOW quickly has this thread gone?!) - our very own Silly Old Probie!! Although "He Rocks Our Hollow" is just... well... I mean it'd be perfect - let's face it, it's the LAST thing anyone would expect the Princesses to come up with, they'd all die of shock and then they'd check the thread out and then they too would all be corrupted into becoming Princesses..... I can see it now........

*evil cackle* Soon the Princesses will have taken over the world - and then we'll get to star in a Bill & Ted movie...!
I digress and have now become entirely random. Apologies.
Back to slaving over the McGee fic...

So to me 'Timmy the pooh' reads 'Timmy the turd' which probably doesn't mean the same thing. Why was the bear called Pooh? Maybe we can fit McGregor in the title somewhere: McGee by day, McGregor by night.

I like your idea for a title, too. PS: ozgeek's sig banner actually inspired me to come up with another possible thread title, which, while a little out there, seems to go well with our recent hair discussion... Tim McGee: Probolution. It sounded a lot better in my head, believe me.

Hey, if I can jump in here, as the Princess "in charge" (whatever that means) of this thread, I'd like to respectfully suggest one that was chosen overwhelmingly by the group... until "He had us at Howdy" was suggested.
Therefore, because it was so popular and I was myself poised to vote for it, (though I loved, like most everyone else, the "Howdy" suggestion) I would like to officially bring back to the floor,
"Exposed and Ballistic".
It just seems a shame to waste a good title that was cut off at the pass. This could be Exposed's do-over!
Majority rules of course. We know from experience that we can't say for sure too early what the new thread will be called. Very often it comes down to how popular a last-minute suggestion is.
Besides, the "exposed" theme was more recently reiterated in another sense with "Cover Story" when our McGee was forced to finally admit that he had, in fact, based his characters on the team.

Fine by me so long as it doesn't offend. I liked the balistic one. Also found a nice Cover Story promo shot (I have the day off today, can you tell? Just me and two kids...) Mabe we could go for "Tim McGee - Uncovered" along the same lines as you suggested.

I don't think anyone had any problem with the "Exposed" title the first time, I know I didn't. "Uncovered" works too as far as that goes. Like I said, whatever the majority thinks would be best. I just wanted to bring what I thought was a good title last time back into the list of options. Awesome pic by the way! Such a baby face... and such a trim physique he's getting! Very flattering angle. Money is treating our Timmy well, with his new wardrobe and personal trainer...

So to me 'Timmy the pooh' reads 'Timmy the turd' which probably doesn't mean the same thing. Why was the bear called Pooh? Yes well there ARE those connotations which make me a little uncomfortable with the phrase Timmy the Pooh! Now, being as I am, a rather big fan of the stories by AA Milne, Mr Milne gives the answer in the first story of Winnie-the-Pooh.
"His name's Winnie-THER-Pooh. Don't you know what THER means?" asked Christopher Robin crossly.
"Ah, yes, I do now," I replied quickly, and you do too - for that is all the explanation you're going to get. Apologies if it's a little wrong, I'm writing from memory!! There's no real reason to him being called Winnie-the-Pooh. His real name is Edward Bear. Winnie-the-Pooh is just an affectionate variation. Nothing to do with...y'know...defacating. To get vaguely back on topic - I do still love Exposed and Ballistic but I love He Rocks Our Hollow as well due to my megalomaniacal plans involved in such a title!!! But I trust all the other Princesses to decide on a suitable title and leave it entirely in your capable hands... *goes back to take her seat on the fence*

Winnie-the-Pooh is just an affectionate variation. Nothing to do with...y'know...defacating. I thought I read/heard somewhere that AA Milne's boy had a bear he called Winifred, which is where Winnie came from. And something about a zoo in Canada? I'll try to find it. I'd never seen the story you quoted, it's the first one? What was the title? I'm sure my daughter would love to hear it! Her nickname from my father-in-law was Pooh for quite a while, based on Winnie of course ;D Now, I like the Uncovered thread title. I also think Exposed would be a close second for me, only because on initial hearing it, one may think of physically exposed before realizing that we Princesses mean his book was exposed to the rest of the team. Of course, the same could be said for Uncovered, I just like the sound of it better! And I have a little bias toward "Silly Old Probie" - see above My votes: (1) Uncovered, or (2) Silly Old Probie
