since you guys have already hit page 10 - and SG and i probably won't be around tonight - i'm gonna go ahead and make an executive decision and open the new thread. the majority vote - not that many of you voted, but with the holidays i know everyone is sooooo busy - was for Santa Jethro, so that's what we'll go with.
i know i'm not around much anymore, but i vote for the silver-haired fox. did i miss the party for when we reached 500 members? i don't post much but i have been reading the posts. i was keeping track up to 497 members and then we got really busy at work. shoot!! and i missed the last road trip, too. GG - we need a new road trip. i want you to kidnap me AND gibbs this time, okay? and i want to go somewhere warm.
... heu.. JO.. YOU SAID " nath, it's okay to do it with pictures - as long as you don't post the same pictures again." but i didnt post the same pic in the double post... heu i dont think.... maybe i become crazy .... oups ...
nath: no, you haven't done this. i was just making a point that if someone is posting a bunch of pix - they shouldn't post the same ones over and over on the same page - or even in the same thread.
SG also hasn't been feeling well, so let's cut her a little slack and try and make her life a bit easier. ;D
she is right, tho. there seems to be a lot of double posting here and it does fill up the threads a lot faster. since Lelu - our wonderful board director and the lady who has given us this site for our NCIS pleasure - is only allotted a certain amount of "space" for this site, we must make sure we don't waste any of it. if you find you've forgotten to say something in a post you've just posted - hit the modify button and add it to your previous post - just like SG stated. if you have any questions, feel free to pm either one of us.
I like it! And using the new banner is okay with me too. wornsouls, I may need a little help with this.
Sometime this summer we'll probably want to use the "Better Than Brad Pitt" one, too. I think it's funny. [I'm not a big Brad Pitt fan.] And the girl's banners are fantastic.
So, were any of you as disappointed as I was in the practically Gibbs-less season finale? This season - to me - has been all about Tony. And I'm not exactly complaining - I'm a Tartlet as well as a Gibblet, and I've loved seeing more competent Tony a lot this season - but it totally shifted the show in a new direction. I'm wondering if problems between MH and DPB are what caused this. And if so, what's going to happen next season with DPB gone.
sorry i've been AWOL. our work computer's were down for...well, it seems like forever. and since i'm on dial up at home, it's almost impossible for me to get into this thread - if i can even get onto this site - because of all the pictures.
Hey, I resent that! Just because my mind stays in the street above the gutter doesn't mean I don't get to partake of the bounty, too! Somebody's got to present a decent facade to the world for all of you.
i'm with you lj. i was planning to tie the bow around his neck. not sure what gg had in mind...
This is probably not the best place to discuss the war... Every one has feelings and they run very high for the most part. Whether you're pro or con it doesn't matter, if you feel the need to say something please keep it to off topics. We have a bomb squad to pick up thing there if it gets out of hand. Which it won't because I know you guys are able to express an opinion with out malice.
sorry, Lelu. i got to thinking after i posted this that maybe i shouldn't have. the coffee is what made it come to mind... didn't intend to start any war discussions - we are a non-political board. if you want to delete my post, so nothing gets started, go ahead. i understand.
and i'm sure they are buying the boys coffee - but i don't know if it'll be starbucks. they said the letter they sent back was pretty nasty...
some of our local boys who are overseas [in the war] wrote home saying they miss their Starbucks coffee... some of the local people got together and asked Starbucks if they could help in some way - discounts or whatever - so we could send Starbucks to our boys.
Starbucks refused to help in any way, shape or form because they do not believe in the war and do not want to be affiliated with it in any way.
Now, i personally believe Starbucks has the right to feel however they want to feel about the war - and anything else - but i don't like the fact that they refused to help. i mean, they could have said - as they did - that they believe this war is wrong, but still made some sort of effort to help get coffee to the troops. i don't believe everyone who's over there necessarily believes the war is RIGHT, but they are doing their job as they see it. anyway, the locals here are boycotting Starbucks. which isn't a good thing for Starbucks because rumor has it they're buying the old Taco Bell building here in town with plans to open soon ... not being a big coffee drinker, it won't really affect me. when i do get coffee, i usually get it from the gas stations [hazelnut and english toffee are my faves]. we already have a coffee shop run by locals who are very well liked, so i don't know that a Starbucks is gonna go over well here anyway. we're not exactly a Starbucks kind of town.
