Personally I think this episode is the victim " of the best laid plans of mice and men". I don't think the producers or the writers will ever admit it (while NCIS running) but I think the original plan was for 90 minute or 2 hour 200th episode but when CBS said no they were too far along in the production process to change to a new script and were force to truncate appearances no lines of dialog (fornell and ari) or use editing stunts for Jenny and Bizzaro Kate and almost eliminated Pacci appearances. I think a few years after Ncis is off the air someone will talk what really happened during the production of this episode and why what should have been a celebrated 200th turned into such a mess. Makes sense

Still mulling over the Kate hospital scene. I think it would have been better to have some Gibbs/Ari dialogue than the bizarro Kate rehashed footage. Why hire Rudolph and give him no lines?

I guess we can just be thankful that the 200th wasn't a musical ep. When they roll that one out we will KNOW that the writers have given up and run out of puff.

Bullet points! And I've got some mighty unpopular opinions. This may well be the last time I post on Special Ops ;D Love your list. Best laugh I've had in a while. OH and I was so thinking Daniel in the Diner with Oma.... It's been done to death in many tropes on near death. I just don't think it was done well here. Only difference between this and the Daniel episode was that Stargate didn't feel the need to whack us over the head with the obvious to get the point across. Yeah, we got it. If I'm disappointed it's only that I expected so much more from the writers. **** So far the assumption has been that Tony & Kate were a couple, however I think the baby is only ever referred to as Kate's baby ('she' called it Kelly, not 'they'). Could it be that Tony was just her birthing partner? I've only watched the epi once so I may have missed something.**** BTW I loved Stargate's 200th episode.
