I gave it a 9. It had me nodding off a few times, and I can't believe that Ziva would just waltz right into a hotel room, even if she thought Ray was there, given all that was going on. But the realization that Gibbs built Mike's coffin was heartbreaking.

I'll vote for "Snow on the roof-fire inside"..though they all sound pretty good to me!

(I hope this isn't considered a 'spoiler' but if it is, please do whatever you have to do, mods. ) Did anyone notice in the credits for "Heartland" who was portraying the 'young Gibbs' ? Sean, his oldest son. The first time I watched it, I thought "Wow, they really did a good job casting someone who looks the part." It wasn't until the second viewing that I caught the credits...now I know why!

Had to give this one a '10', just had to...it was awesome from start to finish. Ralph Waite was perfect as Jackson Gibbs.
As far as "The Boneyard" goes, cj, I think Gibbs was kidding/putting one over on the bad guy when he was saying he didn't have a father, or brother or any relatives, but that's just my take on it.
I didn't see the ending coming, either. I was sure that the little boy was going to be the injured Marine's son.
Nice to see Ducky in a tux! But it would have been VERY interesting to see him meeting the elder Gibbs.
Excellent work by all involved!

This is what I kept waiting for all last season! Gave it a 9.5...mainly because they killed off Langer (he even sounds like his brother!) but the twist at the end with Agent Lee got me..I certainly didn't see it coming! This is the kind of episode that got me hooked on the show in the first place, so I hope we'll be getting back on track. Great job all the way around! Go, team!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who thought the ep was flat....it was pretty entertaining, and I can't complain about anyone's performance but it just didn't have any zing to it. (Plus not enough Gibbs, but that's just me )

I gave it a 9.5...perfect until the end when Madame had to one-up Gibbs with the 'I found the mother' thing...otherwise, it was great!

I started watching because of a) Mark Harmon, I've always liked the shows he's been in, b) David McCallum...I'm old enough to remember watching him on U.N.C.L.E. and c) it was a DPB show and I'll always watch his stuff...anybody remember "Tales of the Gold Monkey"? And I've kept watching because of all of the above! And the rest of the cast is a nice bonus, too. ;D

I'll go with 8.5 too. There were some really good parts and some that were just not quite up to their usual standard. Though I must say, if we'd seen Jen more like she was tonight, I'd be liking her a lot better.

I have to agree with both of you so far. The perp was creepy and I'm not sure we needed all those flashes of polaroids of the victims. Did Paula kill the lawyer or did Tony and McGee come to her rescue? Not to mention the the 'end snap' gave away the fact that she was okay! But on the whole, another excellent outing. Nice to see Paula put Tony in an armlock, though she asked for what she got when she put the birth control pills in his hand. Cute scene when she was playing with her chair .

Interesting ep...I gave it an '8' but didn't feel it was up to the high standards we've come to expect. Lots of good little bits...Gibbs not noticing Jen's hair (which was actually a cute cut), ElfLord...noting wrong with Gibbs' hearing apparently ;D. And that fascinating flashback...Gibbs being arrested and Jen walks on by as if she doesn't know him....wonder when we'll find out more about that little episode? The main plot was kind of 'eh?' but I loved the first scene with Abby with Gibbs teasing her about getting a new assistant..and her furtive gobbling of the "Clowny Cakes" ;D.

I gave it a 9.5..Gibbs was excellent as usual, though I wish they hadn't given away the ending with the picture at the beginning of the 4th act. Ziva certainly changed course in her belief that Zach's dad was guilty in a hurry, and are they going to get the charges against the secretary thrown out of court because of Ziva's 'interrogation' of the woman. But an excellent ep all the way around!

Glad to see I'm not the only one disappointed with this one..it just didn't have that usual 'spark' that the really good eps have..I liked how McGee tried to make Ziva feel better but was rather surprised when she admitted that a year ago she would have just come right out and killed the guy because he wouldn't get into the elevator. Not much self-control there, eh? Loved Abby's outfit and Gibbs popping up out of the trunk at the end. And the whole 'Weekend at Bernie's' thing. But otherwise, kind of flat.

I gave it a '9'...lots of good stuff but not enough to make it a '10'. Tony looked quite hot in the opening scenes in his suit and striped shirt. Abby was funny as always and we got more of Ducky than usual. Show of hands: how many of you realized that the name of the the bar (The Gold Monkey) was also the name of one of DPB's TV series? Yeah, I know...it dates me. But it was a good show and it's always fun to see how he (and the writers) sneak little references to his other series in this one. If I'm not mistaken, that was his daughter in the IPOD pictures with McGee.
