Definitely looks interesting!! I just hope the DVR works tomorrow night. It's been fussy lately.

It's been many years since Little Big Horn Battlefield has been called Custer Battlefield. But then, the cup's kinda old looking.
But why Gibbs? Hard to say. Might have visited there, with or without Shannon and/or Kelly. Might have been a Gibbs family (Jackson, Mama G, and little Leroy) vacation at some point. Interesting that it's script and flowers, since that's not the kind of motif I'd associate with a place like that. Yes, I've been there, but it was back in the '80s with my then-roommate and a former college neighbor of ours who was a ranger there. It's not exactly easy to get to, though definitely worth the trip.
Can't speak for anyone else in the group there last night in the bar, but I enjoyed the ep last night. I'm also a Muse Watson/Mike Franks fan (and Facebook Friend), and really enjoyed Mike and Papa G together.

A little group of us who arrived early for FanFest had a Season Premiere Viewing Party at the hotel, and naturally watched this after NCIS' S7 premiere. We were not overwhelmed. I was ambivalent about it until we toured Paramount Studios the next day and actually got in to see the new home-base set (they weren't filming on it that day). The "office" set is a single huge piece, unlike most part-and-parcel sets, all connected, and honestly looks like it could have been built by the LADWP (Dept of Water and Power) back in the '20s or '30s. I think our whole little group would love to have it as a home, particularly the downstairs section!
Anyway, the point of that whole little tour diversion there is to say that it was the set which sold me on going ahead and setting up to record both shows (my work schedule sometimes keeps me from getting home in time to see all of the original, so I always record), and it's grown on me. Naturally, I didn't record this episode, so I'll have to wait for a rerun in order to see it again some time when I'm not high on the fun of the original's premiere. I can see myself buying the DVDs when they become available.
And at this point in the season, it's pretty clear that the decision to run the two shows consecutively on Tuesday nights was a good one: CBS is blowing away the competition, as we all know.

You need to make sure you contact the committee members about next year. Tell them we need it!! Tell all your friends and neighbors, too. Create a demand.

Ziva did NOT kill Ari because her father told her to, she did it to protect Gibbs. That did not change. This. There's no retcon involved. 8.5 for me, but I don't give many 10s. And then there's the misspelling of withdrawal on the scrolling message thingy.

The committee's been Cathy, Kathy, and Rick for the last four years. What change?

Thanks to such people, we had no Set-visit last year and this year and who knows what will be in the future Yep, I'm quoting the whole message. Thanks, Shannon, for hunting this down. And thanks for letting the board know why there haven't been any set visits, either for the FanFest group or for the raffles, and why there won't be any for the foreseeable future. Please, folks, STAY AWAY from the production facilities AND from the location shoots. These people are working. How long would you keep your job if people kept hanging out at your workplace disrupting things?

Auctions aren't until Saturday night. Today we had Craig Harvey from the LA Coroner's Office, a couple of agents (including a probie!), and Doug Reilly. Tomorrow will feature Chas Johnson and a cast of thousands from the production staff (including a repeat appearance by Doug!!), then the auctions.

We're in Portola, too. DMc and Nici are in El Dorado, and that's where your peanut butter and the milk for your tea are.

Nici, DMc4Me, Liz, EspritKennels, Mahannie57, and I are all here, with mcHnelson due any time. Nici and DMc arrived while the rest of us were touring Paramount Studios, where we actually got in to see the NCIS:LA set!! Then lunch at The Smokehouse (site of the roundtable cast discussion), then back to the hotel to meet up with Nici and DMc to put together the goodies for the Ducky booth (we got the Black Lung and Abby stuff done last night).

If I'm getting a choice and it is easily available, then crunchy M+ adds "bag of peanuts" to her list

Nici, you'll have to take my name off, I can't make it this year. MollokoPlus' revised shopping list: Peter Pan PB for DMC4Me (was that creamy or crunchy?) Jif PB for mcHnelson (was that creamy or crunchy?) milk for mcHnelson's tea case of bottled water
