I feel your pain, Batwoman. Not only am I in entirely the wrong country - I don't have a television licence to watch TCM!!!! And TCM in the UK is different to TCM in America - the UK gets all the crappy films repeated, and only plays half decent films once in a blue moon!!
Roll on November!!! At least we'll get the episodes to cheer us up!!

I'm sorry, Batwoman. That really sucks! Maybe the new DVD set coming out will be so popular that Time/Warner will decide to put the movies out on DVD too. You could ask your cable provider about adding TCM. The movies aren't on til Nov. Maybe that's enough time. I have a few problems with things right now. First and foremost, my car is dying and I need to get a new one today. I have a rental that is going to be returned today and buy a new (used car) today. basically swap the two out. Then there's my cable, I only have expanded basic. TCM is on digital, which I can't get yet. In fact, they just moved hallmark from analog to digital. why, I don't know. And then there's the dvds, basically, money's going to be REALLY tight for about a year. So the DVDs will have to wait unless I get good sales in my shop and can treat myself to them before then. *sigh* I hate being broke.

American Life tv just became available here and they had been playing Man from U.N.C.L.E. episodes in order. Now that I have it (finally) they have started skipping around. I just hope they continue to show them in some order.

I was looking at a picture I took of my new car earlier and either it's my imagination, or it looks like C.A.R.R. I'm going to have to find a good picture of CARR and compare the two. But I just might call it CARR regardless.

Looks close enough to me. Go ahead and call it C.A.R.R. ! You'll feel closer to David every time you get behind the wheel.

I think TCM has a UK site. Go to it and put "David McCallum" in the search box. It will bring up everything they have by him on the site. If the MFU movies are going to be shown in the UK, it should list them as on the schedule coming up in Nov.

I'm sorry. There hasn't been any confirmation yet, but I'm wondering if this day of MFU movies in the US is a tie-in to the release of the MFU DVD set in the US. That's supposed to ship in Nov. and TCM is a Time/Warner company which is doing the DVDs.

Hey, congratulations! I've seen that set on ebay. It never came out in the US (region 1) so this is a case of Europe and Australia getting something we didn't. That's a good deal too. Isn't 15 BP about 30 US dollars? Excellent! Enjoy! ;D

That set is the entire reason I had to buy a Region 2 dvd player!
