Thank you so much, dmc4me! Yes, my Ducky clone made it here just in time to help with my Christmas baking. I'm preparing a yeast dough now that will rise overnight for cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. My Ducky made the cinnamon filling and will be helping me roll the dough and get everything ready. He's going to be such a help around the house! I already love having him here. ;D Thanks again and Merry Christmas! ;D

Your clone does housework?! Have to have a little chat with mine then. Whenever he'll get up. *clears away the empty bottles*

*wolf whistles* and a very jolly and cheerytastic Tuesday to you too, mchnelson!!!! Thanks for this!!!
Due to my covert undercover skills that my Ducky clone (with a huge dash of Illya) has taught me, I have... located... six MFU episodes, a few of which I hadn't seen before, as well as some favourites like The Deadly Toys Affair (inexplicable desire for Illya to comb their hair, anyone?!) - so I'm just about managing to satiate my desire for U.N.C.L.E. episodes until my mother's credit card becomes available for borrowing in the New Year. I found this episode where Napoleon gets pneumonia so they get this English guy in. It made a nice change.
Oooh one of the episodes was the Come With Me To The Casbah Affair and it has my favourite ever U.N.C.L.E. girl in it, Danielle De Metz. It must be a tough life having to leap from an aeroplane strapped to a semi-naked David McCallum in one episode, then share a bed with him in the next... Poor girl. It must've been hell.
Am I the only one who's secondary objective aside from the obvious in watching MFU is to spot which of the baddies has also been in an episode of the Monkees and what character they played?! Seriously you can do that in nearly EVERY episode. It's great.
Right, shall stop rambling. Hope everyone's having a perfectly smashing day and that the old fat guy with the beard brought you all that your heart desires!!!!

Mark Slate was the guy that teamed with IK.
As for IK jumping out of the plane, that sounds like the Foreign Legion Affair, not Casbah. Casbah was the one where he's kept in a village with the crazy chick that wants to marry him. He comes up with this story of being the son of Laurence (of Arabia).

I was referring to the Foreign Legion Affair and the Casbah affair separately - maybe I was too giddy to make myself clear...
You know, I only watched it yesterday and I can't remember ANYBODY wanting to marry Illya in the Come With Me To The Casbah Affair. And as far as I'm aware he didn't mention ANYTHING about Lawrence of Arabia. Then again I do tend to miss huge chunks of plotline in favour of noticing such things as "Crikey, that isn't a real tree!!!" or "Hmph, he never hit him, he missed by three miles!" or "There's no use shooting, pal, he's a goody, you'll never hit him!"
No, on further skipped glances, nobody does want to marry Illya. This one's about a guy with a book containing THRUSH's secret code and both THRUSH and U.N.C.L.E. are after it so that they can decode the letter that's been sent to the guy who was Boris in the Monkees episode The Spy Who Came In From The Cool.
I did spend the entire episode thinking Mark Slate was secretly a double agent. It was refreshing to find out it was okay to trust him in the end. I'm still trying to work out if I've seen him in an episode of Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) though...

Mark was in another MFU episode, only played by a different actor. He first appeard in Moonglow which introduced April Dancer. From there they recast both roles and created Girl from U.N.C.L.E. Napoleon showed up on an episode of GFU while Mark was on MFU.
I'm going to have to watch Casbah again, I seem to remember the women taking care of IK wanting to get married.
Of the 2 Marks, I prefer the second one.

The Arabian Affair is the one where IK does his Lawrence of Arabia impression and the girl, Sophie, wants to marry him or sell him one or the other. Interesting that IK was unimpressed with Sophie and David McCallum named his daughter Sophie! And lucky Danielle DeMetz was actually in The Foreign Legion Affair, The Come With Me to The Casbah Affair and The Five Daughters Affair! And while we are on the subject of names . . . we are nearing the end of this thread and need to pick a new thread title! in one of the articles I read about DMC lately he referred to himself as an "elderly heart throb" and made me think of something like: Ducky's Divas #9: Still our heart throb.
