The Fan Fest website has been updated with all the goodies (ahem, information) that we need to know for this year's fest. I'm not a big fan of the costume party idea this year. I was so looking forward to wearing my "Caught On Tape" Abby outfit. lol

It was bad enough having to pretend being a favourite character last year to get the "extra" name badges, good luck this year Do I read coorectly that you cannot just pay on line this year either, sounds like a lot of bother to just register. Not sure about the hassle of transportation to the the hotel either. Last thing you need after a 10 hour flight is to muck about with busses, tube train connections and phone calls for a shuttle bus. Bet I'd give in and fork out the extra money (starting at $22, so what will it really cost?) for a more direct route to the hotel.

Yeah, mchnelson, noticed that. Seems like traveller cheques aren't no option either. Those outside the US can only pay via international money order. Will be very interesting to see the fees, my bank will charge Probably almost as much as the whole money order... Cheers, Mel

Will they let someone in the US send a US money order/bank check for the non-US attendees? I'm thinking that someone here in the US who already has a Paypal account could accept the non-US money into his/her account, then send the money order/bank check for the non-US attendees. (does that make sense?) For example, k!bbslover and mcHnelson could send the money to mollokoplus' Paypal account, then mollokoplus could get the money orders for them and send them in.
(just let me figure out how to turn your money in my Paypal account into money orders for your memberships) :rolleyesatself

That's a good question. I wonder how this is all going to work this year. I haven't registered yet myself.

Last year I registered immediately. Like Nici, I haven't registered yet, this year.

I'm guessing that since Pay Pal is not an option for registering this year, it will mean we won't be able to take part in the raffles on-line. Last two years we could buy tickets via PP. At the first FF a few of the winners did come from the on-line purchase of tickets. I think only one winner came from on-line last year, if memory serves me right.

Yeah, maybe the online raffles just weren't that popular or something. Who knows ... My mom told me the other day that I can't bid on anything in the auction this year. LOL! I told her ... it all depends on what's being auctioned off.

They made a lot of money from the online sale of raffle tickets. I suspect the reason for the change is to save the paypal fees.

E-Mailed the NCIS FanFest Planning Commitee the other day and they now added traveller cheques as payment option. Sent my registration right away and hope everything will work out. If not? I'm coming back to get you As far as pp is concerned. Yeah, fees are probably an issue but I guess none of the users here would mind a surcharge for paying via paypal as it makes the whole process a lot easier. Cheers, Mel
