I’ve been looking forward to this one, and it really didn’t disappoint at all. Despite the fact that it was an episode semi-comprised of previous clips, this was not only an ingenious one, which I thoroughly enjoyed, it was also the best “clip” episode I’ve ever seen. Loved it. Loved the beginning! Now THAT’S the Tony I adore – chuckle, especially with the cup full of confetti and his “It’s not my fault. I didn’t do this” LOL! And later when Tony said to Abby “Call the Spirits. Tell them to bring Pizza” that was hilarious!! LOL! Great analogy from Leon. “Bureau’s doing the fishing. I’m just driving the boat” – chuckle. McGee had me in fits of laughter. So very well played by Sean Murray. The flashbacks when Tobias said “Why not? You two do have a professional relationship” and McGee’s subsequent “Yeah, it’s, uh, it’s very professional” had me rolling LOL! And his comments later on in Gibbs’ basement about Gibbs’ computer and how he was tempted to ask it to go through the crystal orb also had me in fits of laughter. As a side note and completely irrelevant but when Tobias was questioning Ziva all I could think was, “Is he wearing lipstick?” Sorry... But it really did look like he was – chuckle. I really liked Gibbs’ conversation with Ducky and it blended in nicely with the end of Ducky’s interview with Tobias. In fact I thought the entire episode was edited very nicely indeed. I giggled stupidly at the size of Gibbs’ boat because it was way smaller than the ones he’d been working on previously. I guess he must have got sick of everyone asking him how he was going to get it out of his basement and built one small enough that he now might just be able to get it out of there – chuckle. I wonder what he really thought of Mcgee asking him how he was going to get the boat out - chuckle. Abby’s interview was pure class in my opinion. Fantastic stuff. Laughed my socks off. The flashbacks were brilliant and added so much to the humour. Oh boy Tobias really played Tony. That snicker and smirk when he said about Tony's feelings, “Because you had them” Ay Yi Yi! I thought Tony was going to get up there and then and wipe that smirk right off Tobias’ face. Nice! Oooh Jen Shephard lied by omission. La Grenouille did place the gun on the table after she ahnded it to him. It was still on the table and Gibbs left the full clip behind next to it just before he left. To be honest though, I now have no sympathy at all for the Jen character. She should have gone down for killing La Grenouille, simple as that. What I honestly don’t understand is Gibbs’ backing of her when his infamous gut was telling him that she killed La Grenouille. I thought he was better than covering for a guilty colleague, no matter their past. All in all, Tobias was right. Jen Shephard did spread her obsession about La Grenouille all over the NCIS Agency. She was unprofessional and her obsession and subsequent guilt in La Grenouille’s death makes her a liability. I have to say that this part of the episode has left a bitter taste in my mouth and if Jen is still around for many future episodes, then I think I am going to have to blip her being there. I’m not a fan of Agencies covering for an Agent going rogue, especially an Agent as high as a Director. Still, the interviews, the flashbacks and the way this episode was edited was thrilling and it did keep me on the edge of my seat. I’d give it a 7/10 – Finding out that Gibbs was covering for Jen almost made me want to give it a 2, but, while I am grinding my teeth over what Gibbs did, well, all in all, the episode as a whole was a good one.

I'm sure all of you have already thought of this but, I'm a little slow sometimes.
I am like 99% sure that Jenny DID kill The Frog, because Kort killing him just seems way too easy. Do I think in away the CIA is covering for Jenny? Yes, I do. However though, I think it would've been more of a twist if Jeanne had killed her father, would've been pretty bad ass if you ask me.
Like I mentioned, this episode was pretty intense, but it had its funny parts just like every episode and thank Papa Smurf for that. Especially when Gibbs hands Ziva the knife then says "Their tires Ziva, not their throats."
I really liked how they did the switching between the three scenes with Tony and Tobias, Gibbs and Jeanne and Ducky, McGee and Ziva, very cool editting and what not. Tony's reaction to when Tobias yells "You killed La Grenouille!" and Tony's just like "I.... I did what?"
One of my favorite parts was when Tony punches Kort and he looks like he's going to attack Tony, but Ziva just steps up beside Tony and is all like "Yeah gangsta, in your smurfin face. Don't mess with Tony, cause I'll kick your butt." Well, I don't think that would be exactly what she was thinking but, something like that. :]

I loved this episode! - The confetti at the beginning was genius. - Loved Gibb's old computer and printed - and the pride on his face for having them, he was smiling in a "see? look what I got!" way that made me laugh - Abby's interrogation was great, loved the faces she was making into the mirror - reminded me of a scene in Psych (anyone watch that?) with Emelina Saffron pressing her nose to the interrogation room window in American Duos. - Tony's interogation was great too - nice hints of Frame Up and all the wise ass remarks and there was just this subtle turn from funny to serious - Did anyone else get scared by Ducky when he was glaring at McGee for interupting him??? - Loved Tony punching Kort and how angry he was - we never get enough angry Tony (angry Tony is hot) - The flashbacks were all great - short enough that they didn't didn't make the episode feel like a clip-show (those get annoying) but still contained all the right bits to see what they are all thinking about - I also like the end scene with Tony and Jeanne - I think the interrogation with Fornell brought up some stuff and Ziva told him to go be a man and he did - I think it was a good way to end the Tony/Jeanne storyline

That's the cabin part of the boat, he moved the bottom out... somehow. By breaking the bottle... On a less substantial note I also liked Jenny's hair, much more feminine than before.

Wow, what a great episode! I love the character development and the suspense. The plot was good (I’m so glad they followed up on the storyline) and the producers really pulled it off well. The slow build-up was mixed with great comical moments, until it reached its crescendo. The scene cuts when Tony was being accused of the murder made it look really dramatic. The lightening, thdialogue, the rising suspense – perfect.
I didn’t expect Jeanne to lie like that. I’m a bit impressed actually, I didn’t think she had it in her to do that. Although she always seemed like she had a very clear opinion of what or who she thought was good or evil. The scene by the elevator was almost painful to watch. I’m convinced Tony said “No” because he knew in his heart that what they had was damaged beyond repair. When she looked at him she seemed hopeful that just maybe they’d still have a chance, so I think he said it to make it easier for both of them. The look on his face when she says “I wish I never met you” and the elevator doors closes is so sad. It’s almost like he’s emotionally paralyzed after the whole deal.
The Director was really calm considering everything. I wasn’t exactly shocked that she killed La Grenouille, but I wonder what she would have done if Tony hadn’t been cleared. Would she have confessed or would she have let him take the fall? She obviously knew Jeanne was lying, but what if Leon hadn’t let her talk to her? And what would Gibbs have done if Jeanne hadn’t come clean? I don’t think Jenny’s character has much of a future now, with all the medical stuff going on and now this. I guess I rather it’d be her than anyone else, but she still brings a lot to the show. On a lighter note… Abby’s scenes were phenomenal! I love the way she acted in interrogation. She seemed almost high.
I have a lot of other thoughts about this, but I need to write a boring analysis for school.

I don't find Jeanne going to Africa unrealistic. She was hurt pretty bad, she'd want to get as far away as possible. I can see her getting far away, but not on a charitable mission of vengeance. How would that be all about her? Oh, and now I'm imagining her complaining about how rough she's had it to her patients over there. "Malaria? Please. I have a broken heart!" Then again, I suppose it would somehow prove the devotion of the person who inevitably came chasing after her to brave the hippo jam - except no one ever did. And I have very little doubt that that (compounded with the initial hurt) was the reason she lied to the FBI about Tony when the opportunity arose. And from tweeter: I never liked the actress either, but I think the response was in character. Kind of fits with the 'It's all about me' theory of Jeanne - when she told the truth, she was no longer the center of attention or even part of the story, so I buy her not having a strong emotional response.

Some quick observations, a kind of stream-of-consciousness post. I loved this episode, absolutely loved it - even with the appearance of the dreaded Pink Scrubs. Speaking of Pink Scrubs, I think a lot of why I don't like her is the actress. Excuse me, you're finally telling the truth about your father's death and what happened that night and you can't even squeeze out a few tears? Just look upset, "upset" being a slight furrow of the brow and a distant look? Okay... buh bye, please don't come back, 'kay? ;D ;D I completely agree. I too also hope this was her final appearance. My Mom, my sis, I and my cousin are all addicted to NCIS and my sis asked me if I wanted last season on DVD for a gift and I said no because I couldn't stand that woman, and she was in far too much of last season. I have all the other seasons and fully intend to buy this current one, season five when its released. My family didn't like her either but they laughed at me because I developed such an instant and intense dislike of her. I didn't even watch the repeats on TV. I love the rest of the cast, I just couldn't take her interruptions. ;D I also think her acting was the main reason, I didn't care for her. Plus I thought the character was huge whiner and self centered even though she was supposed to be a doctor. Glad to know I am not alone in hoping she does not return again, at least not for any length of time.

Worried that I liked the shot of the dimples in Ziva's back, when she was kneeling, holding the phone to the ceiling on Gibbs boat If you look closely you can see a little more than dimples actually . Don't worry though; guys like girls who like other girls.... j/k

Whoops! *blush* But can I at least say that my knowledge of boats is about as good as a Computer Expert's, because didn't McGee think the same thing? *Pleads that he did - chuckle* Cheers for the info though, tweeter, it certainly does explain why it was so small

Wow. I loved this episode ;D The Good+ The flashbacks were great - usually flashbacks annoy me because they're unnecessary, but these were all relevant and well placed, and usually pretty hilarious! + All the interrogations were fantastic. + Fornell! I love any episodes with him in, and the love/hate relationship he has with NCIS. + Leon was pretty cool, I'd definitely like to see more of him. + As much as I hated Jeanne, having her come back in this ep was kind of funny as it brought back that nostalgic hatred ahaha. Also, I think that resolution was needed. + The episode had hilarious moments but also dark, serious parts. I think they got exactly the right balance. + Emotional!Tony.. Whilst I didn't like the direction his character went in last season, I'm glad they haven't forgotten that he did go through some changes. + Gibbs' reply to how he got the boat out! + Lots of twists and tuns, plus an ominous ending. The Not So Good- Abby is starting to annoy me a bit, which makes me sad because she used to be one of my favourites. - Still not liking the director I think the actress is terrible, and I just don't like her character.. - I know I had the twists & ending as a plus, but I don't like the implication that Gibbs is covering for Jenny. Her character is so unprofessional, which is probably one of the reasons I dislike her so much. The WTF? Toothpick?! Think there'll be some significance to this in a later episode? Overall, this is probably one of my favourite episodes! There's lots more I could write about it, but I'll have to wait til after another viewing Anyway, I have a feeling I'll be rewatching this one a lot

i think people are making a bit to much of the toothpick, so the guys got an oral fixation hes not the only one. I also think it was just a quirk added to give his character something a bit unique. I mean minus the toothpick thing and financial concerns hes basically a black version of Dir. Morrow.

i think people are making a bit to much of the toothpick But that's the fun of it. If we didn't turn every minor detail into some big, meaningful thing we'd have nothing to talk about. It's a highly scientific process. We even consult the records if necessary...

Liked this one very much ( ;D ;D ) - what I really love is that the humour came back quite a lot in the last eps. Even with serious issues they bring in the right bits of humour, that I missed sometimes in some of the previous ones. The interrogations were excellent - and Abby had the right job to gain some time, she can really talk a lot of useless stuff (if needed). ;D Probably she had some lessons with Ducky in that All in all one of my favorite ones (I have quite a lot which I liked)
