How did you rate ep 5.02 Family? I loved this episode. The funny side of Tony is back. No more serious Tony for awhile. ;D

9.5
Loved the funny stuff. Loved having lots of Tony, Ducky, and Abby.
Hated, hated, hated the awful, awful, awful flashbacks.

another 9.5. mostly because of the finishing up of the tony/j storyline. [i'm glad they did, tho.] i don't think i voted that high most of last year.

I have to rewatch it to decide for sure, but I'm leaning along the lines of a 9. It was really good, but I don't know if it's going to be first or second tier favorites.
(First tier means something like Bete Noire, Hiatus, Sharif Returns, Probie, or Marine Down - if I'm bringing episodes to show my Mom I save it for last because it's the best of the best. Second tier is more like Escaped or Singled Out - it still has to be shown to my Mom, but there's still even better to come)

omg i loved this ep!!!! ;D Tony was hilarious! I'm glad the silly, funny part of Tony is back. The beginning was hilarious, when Tony superglued Mcgee's keyboard. I laughed so hard at that! ;D The ending was great too! Like everyone else, I'm glad the Tony/Jeanne storyline is over too. Oh yeah, I liked when Tony answered the phone, and was like very special agent Anthony DiNozzo...(forgot the rest) And Gibbs was wonderful as usual! Loved his smile at the end! ;D i think this ep was hands down one of the best i've seen in awhile!!!! flippin hilarious at times and touching at others....tonight definitely reaffirmed why i love ncis so much!!!! So true!! Oh, by the way I gave it a 10! ;D

I loved this episode. I too loved to see the funny side of Tony. I loved it when Tony glued McGee's hands to his keyboard. The plot of the episode was also very good.

9.5. Lost a half point for being down a quart of Palmer. Didn't mind the flashbacks because they are doing it to fill in Tony's thoughts as he deals with losing Jeanne and wrap that story up. As long as she's gone they don't bother me. Good mystery, Gibbs with a baby, and I loved the use of the music at the end. I have just become a fan of Matt Nathanson (who I had NEVER heard of until last night) thanks to that, it's a beautiful song. Perhaps that guy in the can would stop long enough to wash his hands if Ziva would stop barging in and scaring him out...

great ep gave it a 10.
also didny mind the flashbacks because it basically told the story behind the present feelings and absentness (dunno if thats the right word) of tony at times.
and ziva in the restroom, brill.
and then the tenderness and family feel to the team when mcgee put the fire on for tony at the end. great.
all in all a brill ep, keep up the good work guys/gals.

I would rate this a 8.5. I really enjoyed it however there were parts that didn't make sense to me such as what Nicky was doing with the baby in the couple home and why they didn't know he or the baby was there. Also how he changed the brakes without his father knowing he had done it between when Tif was killed and his father put her body in the car. I really enjoyed Tony dealing with Jon and I loved the scene in the bathroom with Tony and Ziva. ;D. I really loved when Gibbs kissed Abby and she said that she really loved her job, well to be honest if I got to work with Mark Harmon everyday I would love my job to if part of my job description included being kissed by Mark Harmon. ;D Cindy

Just so you know - anything over a five would beat Mom's Apple pie for me - I'm not an apple pie fan! In seriousness, I went with the nine. It's good, but it is a second-tier favorite which means I need to leave two notches above it - 9.5 for regular tier favorites and 10 for when they really do something special.

Really, really liked this one. I gave it a 9, mainly to leave some reserve for still better things to come and because a 10 is reserved for episodes like SWAK, Under Covers, Bête Noire etc. but it was great and even lifted Bury Your Dead if watched back to back IMO. The last scene was just brilliant, made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. *sigh*

I gave it a '9' also...good, but not, as Meg so rightly put it 'first tier'. Nice moments here and there but not nearly as intense and attention-grabbing as "Enigma", "Bete Noir" or "Call of Silence." Interesting that Gibbs had nail-polish remover in his desk drawer..his spidey sense must have detected Tony and the Super-Glue. Abby and her increased Caf-Pow intake and eating the salty chips ...and the jumping jacks. Touching with Gibbs and the baby at the end. I think he really understood why Nicky did what he did.
