I share Mark's concerns. Maybe they can send one particular writer that I think does not have a handle on the characters to the new show. I won't mention names.

I also worry that they don't understand that the appeal of NCIS is the characters and their interactions. This cast goes well together, they gelled for some reason. There's no guarantee that a new cast on a new show will have the same genuine camraderie.

Sure, there are shows that have great ensemble casts - Leverage, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, are three- but like I said, there's no guarantee they'll have the success they had with NCIS.

Why does CBS have to clone its shows? Three CSI's, and now two NCIS's.

Totally agree on that, Tweeter. Usually the thought behind is to get the new show established as long as the "old" one is still successfully running. I think CSI is the big exception when it comes to have original and spin offs running parallel for so long

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this; but, I have an episode question.

You know the NCIS opening credits, the very last shot (the one of Gibbs slapping the table)...what episode is that from..I know it's from season 1 or 2; but, I can't remember which one.
