 Just got round to really looking at the programme from this years charity game in OKC. I don't recall reading about a show named "No Ordinary Girl" before. It did get canned before a series was made, but does anyone know if anything from it aired on TV? |

Never heard of it before. But I do remember that picture. Unfortunately I don't have a clue where I got it from. All I can tell is it is named gt.jpg which is definitely not a name I added. I guess GT are the initials of this boy pictured with Mark. Will try to jog my memory. Maybe there are some more details I do remember.

I found the picture on Myles Jeffery's web page. On another link one of the reasons given for them not being able to revive the show on another broadcaster was that Mark did not want to spend time away from his family filming the show in Australia, where it would have been cheaper. Amber Tamblyn was the girl in the title role, whoever she be!!!
It just sounded like at least one episode aired, 2002 was the date.

Sounds reasonable. I remember an interview with Mark where he said he came home after filming Til There Was You and was greeted by Sean walking up to him at the airport. The realisation he missed out on his son learning how to walk made him decide to never again spend time that far away from his family and opt for smaller projects closer to his family home.
Will keep my eyes open for this pilot though.

Re "No Ordinary Girl" - I remember doing research on it when I first came across that pic a couple of years ago & from memory they only made a pilot which never actually aired. I didn't know about them making it in Australia though. As far as I know the show just wasn't 'picked up'. I know Amber Tamblyn went on to make "Joan of Arcadia" in stead, which wasn't a bad show. Of course Mark went on to do some other project....  |
