How did you rate 6.09 Dagger? Scores out of 10 please. Disclaimer: For your own sanity, do not try to make sense of the rating definitions!

Bit of a letdown after last week. Also, I wish someone would realize that you don't have to kill people just to get them off the show. It was shocking the first time. Now it's meh.

Not too bad... obviously "Cloak" was the denoument of this three-episode arc, so "Dagger" would be an expected coast to the conclusion. I don't know that there was any other way to write Lee out of the show. She was painted into a corner and to send her to prison would turn what started out as a good character permanently unredeemable. She wasn't bad until her sister was abducted and she was being blackmailed into becoming a mole. Her motives were forgiveable even if her actions (killing innocent people) most definitely were not. By killing her off the way they did, she was brought full-circle as a character. Someone who started out good, turned bad, and then basically gave Gibbs permission to sacrifice her on the bus to bring the whole mess to an end. Don't forget, Gibbs himself committed murder in order to avenge his wife and daughter's deaths, so he's hardly one to pass judgement on "Michey". I think in the end he didn't.

I agree, and this is pretty much exactly what I was going to say.

I gave it a 10. I missed last week's so I can't compare - but I thought it was awesome. Edge of your seat. And while I hate killing off characters as much as anyone, I agree with saskie - not much other way to write her out. Prison would've tied her up for years - and letting her off would not have been very realistic.

Self-sacrifice is the ultimate redemption.
I missed most of the first segment because I needed to stop at the pharmacy for some more cold meds, but the rest of the episode kept me glued to the set.

I gave it a 7, only because I felt bad for the girl. I would have felt bad for Lee if she had come out and told the truth the first time. First, it was her daughter, then it was her sister. Gibbs is right, she should have come to him the first time before she killed Langer. And he said 2 innocent people? Who was the second?
I liked the episode. But Lee aggravated me.

I gave it a 9. It was good, but not as good as last week. It felt someway incomplete compared to "Cloak". But a 9 is still good of course

An 8 for me too, but only because Gibbs had to do an awful thing and must have gotten hurt (not just physically). Too little of the rest of the main cast for my taste.

Sad to say that I could only give it a 7. I found the whole Lee's daughter/sister/cousin/clone of Angelina's missing adopted child storyline boring. The time that was spent following that red herring could have been better served in other ways.
I simply couldn't identify with Lee's character at all. I so desperately wanted her to ask ME what I would have done in the same situation? Simple answer: tell Gibbs!

Don't forget, Gibbs himself committed murder in order to avenge his wife and daughter's deaths, so he's hardly one to pass judgement on "Michey". I think in the end he didn't. While it is true that Gibbs did what he had to do to avenge his wife and daughter, but there is a difference. The man Gibbs offed was hardly innocent, that man had a huge hand in the deliberate murder of Shannon and Kelly. That man was in fact more than one ways responsible for the deaths of wife and daughter. In Lee's situation, she killed two INNOCENT people who had nothing to do with Amanda's kidnapping or the mole plan. She killed them because they got in her way. It wasn't for revenge, it wasn't even for a good reason except so she wouldn't get find out. So while both Lee and Gibbs committed something terrible.....Gibbs is much lesser of the two evils.....he went for the source, went for the guy who planned it all.....he did what anyone would have done to avenge the deaths of a wife and daughter wrongly murdered.......but Lee, she shot two people to keep the truth from being find out, and the two people who died didn't even harm her or done her any wrong and I can't say anyone would do the same thing she did. Maybe someone else will disagree, but for me THAT is a big difference. But anways, overall, this was a fantasic episode. Some very good emotional scenes. Bravo to cast and crew!

It was definitely full of suspense but I have to disagree on the killing Lee front. It was absolutely unnecessary to kill her off, there are many ways to write somebody out of a show. Goodness, if every character that left a show had to die Hollywood's death toll would skyrocket. Sure, it's TV and we all love our drama but WTH is wrong with prison? It's a realistic scenario (if you are ready to sacrifice the "going down in a blaze of glory" scene at the end) and it would've taken care of her never coming back just as well. Just like Kate could've gone to another duty station etc. etc. It was okay for Kate, it was sad and dramatic and after I got over hating DPB for killing her I think it really brought something to the show. Lee, however, that's just like sheep said—meh. I don't know that there was any other way to write Lee out of the show. She was painted into a corner and to send her to prison would turn what started out as a good character permanently unredeemable. Well, she did kill two innocent people who had nothing to with anything (other than being caught in the middle unwillingly) so that is bad and just because she mouthed "shoot me" in the end I don't consider her redeemed. But maybe that's just me.

I gave it a 10. I thought it was a great episode, I loved all the twists and turns on why Lee did what she did.

Well, all I can say is that the final scene was pretty heartbreaking. With Lee's little sister asking what happened to her; Gibb's giving her the badge and Ziva about to lose it. All under the observant silence of Tony.
