From your lips to God's ears. I liked it. I even liked the ending, because I saw it as her testing the friendship waters. I disagree. I enjoyed last weeks episode much more than this one. It reminded me too much of Doppelgänger. I actually hoped that they would come up with something different. Except Abby all hyped up about her Caf Pow! I didn't see much joking and fun interaction. I liked the fact that they mentioned Jimmy's new girlfriend. He really deserves this new relationship and it's good to see that they talk about it. The case was interesting and I really didn't expect the way it developed. Hopefully, Jimmy's new girlfriend won't be the new Lee.

Did you see the ratings and viewer numbers for this episode? CBS - NCIS - 3.2 - 10 - 16.814 [18-49 Rating - 18-49 Share - Viewers Live+SD]Source: TVbytheNumbersThat's the lowest number we've had so far this season. Almost 3 million less than the previous episodes.

I'm not surprised at the ratings. American Idol is down to the last dozen or so. The ratings will be lower for the rest of the season. I've never seen AI but I have friends who never miss it. Back to the topic - I really liked this episode. It was fun seeing a female "Gibbs" and how the team reacted to her. I gave it a '9'

I do think that the production over-estimated the numbers of people who want to see the T/Z pairing and that it has effected the ratings. I've watched from the start for the team dynamic not a romantic pairing.
I do think that the ratings will go back up again as the season comes to a close once the focus changes back the "life-changing" decision that Gibbs is going to be making that will "affect the whole team."

Totally disagree with you on both parts. There wasn't any indication that the episode would be about Tony and Ziva, which it totally wasn't, or that they might be a Tiva scene, not in the preview or announcements or whatever. So there wasn't a reason why people wouldn't watch it because they are against Tiva. Maybe the finale will have better ratings again but I doubt it. As Aerie said AI was always the most watched show and especially towards the end it will get stronger. I think there are different reasons why the numbers were so low. I think someone mentioned the switch to daylight saving time. Don't really know. Another thing that I liked about this episode was the scene at the end where Vance talks to Gibbs and Borin. Gibbs was totally uncomfortable in the situation and I really had to laugh when Vance "forced" him to agree with his statements.

I liked the episode, gave it a 9. I don't really see the link with Doppelgänger, for there it was the team rather than Gibbs who had doppelgängers. I also don't necessarily think that McGee should have been involved in the last scene. He never really shows interest in old movies or Tony's movie-quotes. Where as Ziva does, if only the learn more about the US and Americans. Loved Tony's remark about Ziva's mind: "I envy your brain sometimes".

Well, I liked it. Compared to the last half dozen episodes, this felt more like a return to old school NCIS that has been, to me anyway, greatly missed. The similarities between Borin & Gibbs were a little much, and I thought the characters could have all been a bit quicker on the uptake over whodunnit, but apart from that, it was fun. I was even okay with the final Tony/Ziva scene because it could so easily be taken any way that one wanted to take it. Hate "Tiva"? Well, then, they were simply friends. Love "Tiva"? Clearly it was a date. Etc. I'd very much like to see Borin come back.
My favorite line? "Real monkeys?" Cote's expression when she said that made me laugh out loud, although Tony's line about envying her brain was also worth a chuckle. There were a bunch of great one-liners in this one ("You can call me Abby." "That's not gonna happen." spring to mind), but none were quite as amusing as that exchange.
Gave it a solid 8, which is pretty darned high for me.

Woo Hoo, Phil. An 8 is as good as a 10. Yeah, for me, that's certainly true. What I find particularly interesting is that the two episodes with the worst (IMO) advertising trailers ("Ignition" and now "Jurisdiction") have turned out to be some of my favorites. In both instances, the teasers made the eps look like I would loath the episodes themselves, yet the opposite ended up being true. Totally weird.

And this is why you should NEVER pre-judge an episode by its trailer. Damn those promo monkeys! ** I gave it 8.5. It would have been higher if they hadn't have dragged the wife in at the end. A different twist would have been nice.

Gave it a 9/10.
Loved Diane Neal and it's great to see her other than as a stuffy lawyer.
A terrific storyline had me guessing all to the end - kind of reminded me of S1's "Hung Out To Dry." I didn't really catch on till the end. To me, that's the best kind of NCIS storytelling.

8.5
Really enjoyed this episode. Like AZ I could have rated it higher but knew that the wife was going to be involved and pretty much knew from the start that it was her husband who was dead. It just didn't add up that a top marine diver would die that way.
Really liking the way they are developing Jimmy and they mentioned his girlfriend again.
Thought Abby from the coast guard was a great character, she looked familiar but I can't place where I've seen her before.
