Well this time in 2 weeks I will nearly be in LA (barring any delays of course ;D) yes i'm at the getting excited stage, it's like being a kid all over again ;D

looking forward to the dinner and getting to know everyone on thurs looks like there's gonna be a few of us.

I remember printing off a schedule and tucking it in my bag -- but I don't remember how far ahead of time it was available.

Count me in for dinner on Thursday.

Meg, checking into the hotel isn't the same as checking into the FanFest (I may be misunderstanding your question, too, so forgive me if that's the case). Walk in the front door from the portico and the hotel's registration desk (and the bank of it's-5 o'clock-somewhere clocks) is to your right. The cantina is pretty much straight ahead, while the restaurant is to the left of that. Also to your left is a little lounge area (with a wonderful view of the portico and the various international flags suspended from the portico's rafters). A little farther down is the coffee-and-sandwich bar. Farther down from that are the convention facilities and the bathrooms. So, yeah, the restaurant is off the lobby, and as hotel restaurants go isn't too bad and isn't too dear. All of this assumes (yikes!) that they haven't done any remodeling in the last few months. I'm sure there'll be folks milling around all over the lobby. We'll be the ones grinnin' like idiots. ;D Except Nici, of course, who'll be winking at everyone.

The web page for the hotel has good pictures. You can see where everyone will be meeting in at least one of them. Is Nici working on her winking? We ahd Cover Story again last night, so may I suggest Nici's costume is, mob cap, nightie and long black and white socks. ;D
