I was kind of hoping that the events in Frame Up would have had an effect on Tony and the way he acts around women, but it doesn't sound like it. That makes me wonder if there will be ramifications from Probie.
Not that I want Tony to become a priest, or anything like that, just a bit toned down and more sensitive. Of course, it's best to wait to watch the episode, it's not as if articles haven't been confusing before.

Well, don't forget that Tony and McGee are wired differently, too, from a psychological standpoint. Tony hides his true feelings behind being a smartass. McGee is more serious, and more obviously and visibly affected by things. I'm sure there will be ramifications from Probie - because McGee isn't Tony, and they react to things and deal with them differently. Had it been Tony in McGee's place, I'm sure we'd see glimpses of the aftereffects, but because it's McGee, it's more visible. He hides nothing, or hides it badly. He's more honest with himself and others, and more sensitive. I hope he can start to focus on the 50% chance that it wasn't his bullet that killed that cop, instead of the 50% chance that it was. But I think maybe we are seeing a slightly more sensitive Tony, now and then we get glimpses of him, since Kate was killed. He's definitely nicer to McGee, they're more like brothers now (and even Sean says that McGee is Tony's little brother), and he's seemingly on a first-name basis with Jimmy now, which I thought was totally unexpected, but really nice to see, at the same time. He's still hiding his own personal angst behind his devil-may-care demeanor, though. That's just Tony, that's all. We know better, LOL!

ROFLMAO AngelZ! I guess they don't understand the Queen's proper English! LOL! (Meant in a fun, joking spirit, of course, I LOVE my American friends!). I am Canadian, and I like to think I have honour, a sense of humour, and always on my best behaviour... and of course, that thing about loving thy neighbour...

I gotta say after two spectacular episodes this one was kind of a let down. There was no evident follow up from "Probie" and the Abby only referenced "Frame Up" by giving Tony those roses, which were amusing. Jen's hair looked alright, but that should have not been part of the plot at all. She wants attention then she doesn't. Someone should totally fix her thought pattern or something. It's annoying the heck out of me. Abby had some cute stuff in this episode. Like I mentioned before the rose thing made me laugh, her ideas of worse possible deaths (falling in a wood chipper, drowning in lava and eaten by a shark), and talking about Bill Nye. Oh, and her reaction to Gibbs little joke about the new assistant staring on Monday. I was glad it was a joke because I was scared for a second there. I wasn't completely impressed with this episode. It had its okay moments, but I was looking for the characterizations and such that had been brought forth over the past couple of episodes. McGee=Elf Lord...awesome.

I think FatCat had a valid point tonight, when I was chatting with her. She thinks that perhaps the aftereffects of Probie on McGee will be dealt with at a more appropriate time. We sort've agreed that to do it in this ep would be awkward, like trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. McGee appears to be coping fine, even looks like he's got his groove back - but he wasn't in any situation in this one where he had to draw his weapon, either. Perhaps in a later ep, when he finds himself having to pull his gun on someone, we'll see what's really going on with him.

So was Abby's Tshirt about "Parental Advisory, Explicit Content " a swipe at the organisation that had a go at NCIS. If it was, kudos to DPB and TPTB. What series has the guy that did it been in?

I think the audience needed to relax after worrying about our guys in the last two episodes. They probably will (I hope) bring up the aftereffects in Probie in the future.
I was a little unhappy about the dorkishness of Tony, at least when he was with the models. With my luck, the friend I'm trying to get to watch this show saw last night's episode and her opinion of him as a "shallow jerk" will remain.
I loved how Abby went up and hugged Tony when everyone left the awards ceremony. He looked so lost and sad. I'm also glad they're addressing what happened in Frame Up, and how Abby waw so worried that Tony was mad at her, or hated her. Not so sure about the black roses, though. Even if they are rather Goth, Tony's not a Goth. But he loved them and the sentiment behind them.
I loved how McGee got the autographs for Tony, didn't even blink an eye when Tony asked him to do it.
Elf Lord... hee.
So, Jen might have sent Gibbs a Dear John letter; might have turned him in to the police; definitely screwed something up while undercover and Gibbs covered for her. Didn't he say he missed her the first time they met again? Why???
I'd rather hear about the first wife and daughter.
I'm with Ziva, I wanted to shoot that other model.
At least I got my cute guy fix.

Don't mean to butt in, GibbsGirl, but I thought I'd add this, because I don't understand numbers alone... numbers are not my friend:
"NCIS" grabbed the night's biggest audience at 8 p.m. with a 10.7/17. "According to Jim" and a Tuesday showing of "Hope & Faith" each posted a 5.5/9 for ABC. The first hour of a 90-minute "Fear Factor" came in at 5.0/8 for NBC, beating FOX's "Bones," 4.5/7. A "Gilmore Girls" rerun on The WB beat a repeat of the "America's Next Top Model" finale on UPN.
Editing to add what Variety said. Same thing, but heck, it's another source!
"NCIS""NCIS" again was the winner at 8 for CBS (4.2/12 in 18-49, 16.8 million viewers overall) and was the night's most-watched program overall, according to preliminary Nielsen nationals.

I enjoyed last night's episode but not as muh as the previous ones. I got a couple good laughs though. Gibbs calling McGee the Elf Lord, I about fell out of my chair.
To me Gibbs and Tony seemed to be out of character. I'm not used to seeing Gibbs so happy and Tony soo dorky. Maybe its just me lol I don't know.
I didn't figure out the perp though. So I will give them that. It will be one I will watch again but I can't say it was one of my favorites.

I also thought that this ep was sort of anticlimatic following some of the previous weeks. I loved the scenes with Abby and Gibbs, those are always so cute. Gibbs joking! About Abby getting a new assistant! Could this truly be a sign of the apocalipse? ;D Gibbs really did seem out of sorts last night. Maybe he was just suffering from shock after that reporter spilt his coffee .As always, right after Tony tells Ziva about McGee being the Elf Lord, Gibbs comes around the corner and makes a crack about it, much like the "Green Acres" crack in Switch after McGee finds out that someone used his credit card to buy a John Deer. Ducky was great, but as is their custom, they didn't have near enough of him Shepard's haircut is kinda better than it was before, but that's not really saying a whole lot. Tony was a little on the dorky side last night, but loved the part where he accepted Gibbs' award, and then at the end where after Gibbs didn't answer him when he asked if he wanted his award, he unlocked a drawer and dropped the award in, giving us a glimpse of probably close to 15 other awards. ;D

I couldn't agree with you more. I feel that Gibbs didn't have it all together in this episode. I do however, love the interaction he has with Abby..though, I do think it is more of a parental type emotion. I go by this from the episode Kill Ari 2..where he kisses Abby on the head and vows to protect her from Ari's rain of terro. I also agree that there isn't nearly enough of Ducky..and the insight he brings to the show. I find his facts most fascinating and intriguing. I did like Ziva's attitude towards the models..she is quite quick with the comebacks..lol. As always, even though Gibbs was a tad out of it..he still is the best of the best. Those other Awards sitting in a locked container in Tony's desk just shows us how good he is.

It's annoying the heck out of me. I thought that was something that came across as a bit awkward and I still think that the writers just don't have a good handle on Jenny and what to do with her character yet. I agree that she isn't written consistently and I don't think that DPB is known for writing strong female leads, I think that his shows have been male dominated, in some instances though it has made me wonder how DPB views women in the work place. I think that this was one of those episodes where the perp. was easy for me to pick out because, I thought of it from the perspective of who is the person that I should least suspect. I wasn't surprised that Gibbs wasn't there to pick up his award, it came across as in character and he was also late for Kate's funeral. I also enjoyed the dead flowers that Abby gave Tony, it was funny and in character considering that Abby's a Goth and I liked how Abby got Tony off of the stage after he accepted Gibbs's award. I also have to remember that this isn't the type of show that you neccessairly have to watch in order.
