Isn't this a nice picture of Mark. It is from an article about his baseball team "The Bombers" playing in Oklahoma next weekend.

A while ago i was curious about the T-shirt that Mark wore in Bloodbath. Below is some more info. Cast of TV's NCIS Supports J.P. Blecksmith Leadership Foundation Actor Mark Harmon, star of the CBS series NCIS and former UCLA quarterback, and Prep alumnus, Evan Snider '00, organized the NCIS cast and crew in support the J.P. Blecksmith Leadership Foundation through the purchase of t-shirts and donations. During a weekend in November 2005, several members of the CBS television show NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) crew participated in a gift packaging function for U.S. troops overseas. During the course of the event, actor Mark Harmon, who plays the role of Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, happened upon a good friend of the Blecksmith family who was wearing one of the J.P. Blecksmith tribute t-shirts. Mark inquired about the story behind the shirt and learned of J.P.'s death in Falloujah, Iraq, on November 11, 2004, while serving as a U.S. Marine. The friend subsequently gave Mark the t-shirt she was wearing. NCIS crew member Evan Snider '00 later heard about the occurrence and approached Mark the following Monday to share that he and J.P. were friends having both attended Flintridge Preparatory School. Upon learning about the J.P. Blecksmith Leadership Foundation, which supports the J.P. Blecksmith Memorial Scholarship Fund at Flintridge Prep, Mark decided, with Evan's assistance, to purchase a number of t-shirts for the NCIS crew members. According to Evan, "Between Mark's initial t-shirt purchase for the crew and the subsequent donations gathered, NCIS crew members have donated between $1,500 - $2,000 to the fund. There are still shirts available on the set and people continue to ask for them. It is because of Mark Harmon's generosity that this entire process has been possible. He has been the driving force for our contribution here on NCIS." This story submittted by Evan Snider '00, NCIS crew member.

Nice find, mchnelson. Thanks for posting that. I never even noticed the shirt in that show. Is there any chance you have a screen cap of him in it?

The scene in the basement was very dark, hence my need to do the detective work. With help from a reply on the NCIS CBS Yahoo group, it led me to the jpblecksmith site www.jpblecksmith.org/tshirt.shtmlbit more work today led to the above picture on the NCIS site. I'm a T-shirt junkie, probably why I notice what shirts Gibbs wears.

Thanks for the link. The words on that shirt just gave me goosebumps. I've always had a weak spot in my heart for any celebraties that get behind a cause for real, not just for show or because they have to. Kudos to MH for doing that, both for this and for the baseball game above.
And hey, this is on topic! His thread is called Mexican hiatus so maybe everyone can post links/pics about the good deeds MH does during his personal 'hiatus' from his shooting schedule!
*runs from any potential scolding from the mods* lol

Life is so rough. Last night I brought my microcassette recorder and taped Mark singing on 240-Robert. Ever since I've had the song stuck in my head. Does life get better?
