Don't hold back - out of 10, what did you think?

I gave it an 8.
The plot was excellent and the perp was creeeepy! A nice twist, of the sort that catches you off-guard but doesn't seem totally ridiculous. And they drew out the red herring just long enough.
Gibbs was beautiful. Lovely background on him, great insight into why he is the way he is. And wonderful interaction with Boone.
All two seconds we got of Ducky were wonderful! Showed his good friendship with Gibbs, and his concern for the whole team. I'm not sure quite why he was agitated before he found out about Gibbs going to interview Boone, but his reactions were nice. And only Ducky could have given it to Gibbs that straight when confronted about his wife!
I wasn't terribly fond of Paula in this one, although she was bearable. Tony seemed a little off, too, but maybe that's just because she "got to him." Love him in "Gibbs mode".
Some of the scenes seemed a bit graphic for 8-o'clock TV, but not overly disturbing.

It felt gappy because they didn't show how she escaped. They could have done a flash back at the end or something.

I have to agree with both of you so far. The perp was creepy and I'm not sure we needed all those flashes of polaroids of the victims. Did Paula kill the lawyer or did Tony and McGee come to her rescue? Not to mention the the 'end snap' gave away the fact that she was okay! But on the whole, another excellent outing. Nice to see Paula put Tony in an armlock, though she asked for what she got when she put the birth control pills in his hand. Cute scene when she was playing with her chair .

The polaroids didn't bother me so much, if anything it illustrated how monstrous the creepy guy really was, and maybe why Gibbs was so affected by him. But I agree, the imagery might have been a bit much for anyone more sensitive than me.
I'd love to think that it was McGee who rescued Cassidy, but I'm thinking that most likely he nailed her location with GPS and he acted as GPS navigator from the lab, for Tony and Gibbs. I don't know that there would have been time for him to leave the lab and physically go to where she was, and unless he was considerably closer to her than they were, I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't have gone without backup, since Tony and Gibbs were together and Abby isn't an agent.

I gave it an 8. Look, no one is making art here, but I love this show for what it is. Yes, the plots are full of holes and the stories arent always original and they leave out scenes we want to see, but I dont watch NCIS because its perfect television. I watch it because Tony makes me laugh and Gibbs is hot. So on the was-tony-funny scale and the was-gibbs-hot scale, it was an 8. Gibbs was HOT and Tony was ADORABLE (but there wasnt really enough of him). And there was no Shepard And I like Paula Cassidy, even if there was no good reason for her to be there. As much as I love love love eps that are all about Gibbs, wouldnt it be fun to see an ep that centered around Tony the way this one centered on Gibbs? Like something from Tony's past as a cop?

I should probably think about adding 1/2 points to the rating system because I thought that ep was definately worth 9.5, but I gave it a 9, because I'm saving my first 10 for a truly 'special' moment.
I thought it was a fantastic ep - good plot, great dialogue, etc etc - and not one dull moment.
I didn't have a problem with them not showing how Paula escaped and I didn't feel that the ep was lacking because of it. Obviously she can handle herself really well (as shown by her ability to disarm Tony in the earlier scenes) - even with her hands tied behind her back! (I like to think that while she was keeping the perp talking she used that time to loosen her bonds)

I have to give it a 4. Very Pedestrian plot, Psycho right out of central casting. It was just ok to me. If you want to see a chilling Psycho ckeck ot Mark Harmon in Delebrate Stranger

Love all the Tony moments in this episode, and I like Cassidy on the team, at least she got Tony to open up and we knew how our poor Tony was dealing with his teammate's death. Love his *becoming Gibbs* moments and esp. when he lectured a bunch of probies. (Oh, I love to see him under armlock. ) And esp. the moment when he let slip he really is pretending that Kate's still there until he noticed he has said it out loud in front of McGee. I couldn't quite pinpoint what I saw, but definitely there's something sad in the atmosphere in the team, Tony's being nice to McGee (not that I'm complaining though, it's just the brotherly love showing) Gibb's hiding he's hating himself, Ducky got even more worried around his *kids*, Abby looks like she's not been sleeping (but I love her costume in this episode) Love the hatred Gibbs showed when he spotted merely Boone's pic on his screen. And went from his reluctance to confront the guy to his determination to nail Boone no matter how he taunted him. And I like McGee as well, judging from the few comments he has made to Cassidy, I feel like that he knew he's now the second senior in Gibbs' team and it's time to make himself more useful. It's time for him to get used to the tough side of the job being a field agent. I'd rate this 9 because despite I have no problem about not knowing how Cassidy escaped, the ending seemed a bit rush to me.

;D I'm with you, Cat-My imagination filled in how Paula saved herself and killed the little perv just fine. You could see by her and the others body language how satisfied she was. Would prefer her to "Ziva" as a regular-so would Tony! I gave it a 9-just great!

I just got to watch it last night when I came home from work. I gave it an 8. I really liked it! It was intense and creepy and I didn't think it was the lawyer until obviously they showed him. I liked how they didn't show us how Paula was saved....it's makes us think of what could have happened. I love how the prisoner nearly got to Gibbs - knew how to push his buttons. I love angry Gibbs but I also love smiley Gibbs. ok ok...I love Gibbs not matter what mood he is in. ;D Great episode.

I gave it a 9. I really enjoyed the episode and have always liked Paula Cassidy, pity she's not going to be more of a regular. Also loved the look on Tony's face when Ducky told him that Gibbs was so much like him 10 years before and when he talking to the probies.
Didn't faze me that they didn't show how Paula escape, I like it when you can fill in the blanks and anyway Cassidy is one tough cookie, she'd have to be more then able to handle her own being on a ship full of naval officers mostly men. ;D.
Like AZ I liked the overall plot, the interaction between the characters and no there wasn't a dull moment at all. You hit the nail on the head there girlfriend.
Okay I'll stop my Ducky type ramblings and had off to work although it's wet, miserable and I'd much rather stay home ;D
