I'd serious doubt will see Sasha Alexander in this episode she working on the cable series Rizzoli & Isles were Ironically she plays a female Ducky lol. Most TV contracts have clauses preventing appearances on other TV series ... I love Rizzoli and Isles. ;-) Angie Harmon has been a fave for years. And while Kate was not my fave person, I'm always interested in what Sasha's doing -- and I love her in this. She and Angie have a great chemistry. Since R&I is off till June or July, I thought she'd have time to do a guest appearance -- but I didn't know about contracts prohibiting appearances... Maybe that's the case. And maybe they'll pull up some old footage of her so that she can be included...

No Kate? That seems odd if Ari is going to be in it...

I liked this one. I thought it was interesting -- and more like the "old" NCIS when I started watching this show.
* Loved the scene with Gibbs, Tony and EJ. Tony's anger was great. Considering he's the buffoon most of the time, they could've made his anger sound stupid and teenager-ish, but they didn't. I also like that Gibbs told him to chill. Even tho EJ is not Gibbs favorite person, he knew they had to figure out what was going on - and allowing Tony to vent wasn't getting them any closer to that. Gibbs main concern about getting the killer was because Tony was also a target.
*Stratton. If they use him right, he could be a good villian. Like the guy who played Clark PALMER on JAG. On a side note, they {NCIS} have never found the "bad/good guy" or "good/ bad guy" character - like Clayton Webb on JAG. I think Joe Spano's Fornell is supposed to be it, but he's not around enough... And he seems mostly to be a friend now.
*Ziva/EJ's talk. And EJ telling Tony Ziva cares. I'm not a Tiva person, but I thought that was well done. Not soppy-gooey, just stating the facts.
I'm not sure about Sec/Nav. He came thru for them. He reminds me of Vance. There's more to him than what meets the eye. That could play out interesting if they write it right.

I know this isn't the discussion thread, but I wanted to respond to a couple of AZ's thoughts.
I agree that Gibbs/Ziva leading the raid was silly. I've noticed that in all the shows where this kind of thing happens -- your main characters are gonna be in the lead, whether it's their "place" or not. So I guess I just ignore it anymore.
I didn't get why Ziva was so ... touched ... by the Sarge. Gibbs stops after he's hit, Ziva leads the charge - but then she won't leave his side when he's dying. I'm not saying she shouldn't have felt anything, but I think her part was overplayed - considering this is Ziva we're talking about. It didn't seem 'real' to me.
Tony's talk with God. I think he liked the way his voice sounded - alone in the sanctuary - when he walked in and called for the Chaplain. So I think he began talking just to hear himself - and it was somewhat humorous, but I felt he became serious - more serious than usual. I thought we were getting more insight into Tony's character than we have for a long time. What I found funny was his hasty exit when he realized the C was there.

Wow! I had come to the conclusion Sam and his wife were either divorced - or she was dead... wow! I think this was probably the most intense episode they've done -- and they did it well. I like them all working together - but I also like having them split up, working on the same case from two different angles sometimes. Very SAMcentric episode - and LLCJ did a superb job. This reminded me of one of the better episodes of The Unit. Not much fun in this one, but ... can I say it again? ... WOW! Not sure how much humor we're going to get next week either. Hetty fires Deeks?! Say it ain't so. [yes, I'm pretty sure it "ain't so," too.]

I missed most of the episode. I came in when Gibbs told Tony to put his pants on. I love Borin - so I was sad that I missed most of her part in the show. Does anyone else think she was going to "hit on" Gibbs when her phone rang? Ziva has been changing a lot over the last couple of years. I'm not sure her "relationship" with the mother was off-base. Perhaps she was thinking of her mother ...

You're right, Belinda - this was the wrong thread for my post. *lol* For some reason, I am like a week behind in my mind.
I agree about Callen's intensity and his feelings regarding "strangers" and his past. I just think the writer's could have made his attitude a little less childish. I love the actor and he is great at portraying his character in the same manner consistently. I think the writers are at fault here. But that's just my opinion. And it certainly doesn't detract from the show!

While I will always love this show -- and they will always make me laugh -- this episode felt a little flat to me. Not bad - I didn't hate it - but not as good as usual. I really disliked the way the writers have written the Callen/Hunter interaction. Yes, I understand he wants to know what she knows and he feels she's holding out on him -- but I felt they wrote his characters response to be pretty childish for a grown man. jmo Hunter is a snarky witch -- but I think they meant for her to be...
Anywho - I'm glad she's gone and Hetty is back!!!!! Can't wait to see if WE get in on any of the Callen background. Or if the next ep starts a few days later and we'll just get bits and pieces as the show progresses.
Sam/Deeks = ALPHA MALE *lol*
And how Deeks asked Sam if K had to know about the face thing - and Kensi asking Callen if Deeks had to know about the carsickness thing...
