I really feel like they are trying to sneak in Nikki as a new regular for next season, like they are hoping we won't notice. I definitely get the feeling that there is something that we missed out on due to the writers' strike, like they picked up later than where they left off. The conversation where McGee refers to Toothpick Man as the acting director and Ziva (was it Ziva or Abby?) corrects him and says assistant director. (Was anyone else having a Dwight Schrute flashback there or was it only me? ) Anyway, I could like Nikki a lot but the germaphobe thing is being way overdone. She sees a picture of McGee being licked by his man-eating dog and needs to wash her hands? Come on, that's a bit extreme for someone who is supposedly able to function on a normal level. Plus, if she washes her hands every time she sees something gross, they should be seriously chapped by now and they aren't. The other thing is, of course, is the fact that it's totally inconsistent. She freaked out when Tony wanted to high-five her but she had no problem hugging the Iraqi girl. And if the state of the plumbing is anything to go by, Tony had probably bathed a lot more recently. (I did think it was smart of her to take baby wipes though.) And it's already been pointed out that hospitals are basically gross hotbeds of disease, yet she didn't seem the least bit uncomfortable there. So if they ease up on the whole "Look! She's a Germaphobe!" angle with Nikki8, which I am already sick to death of - and it's been what, three or four episodes? - then I have no problem with Nikki as a recurring character. But don't try and just slide her in as a replacement for someone we've already gotten attached to (even if it's just Paula or Agent Lee). That's really more of a character issue, though, and not an episode complaint. I really did like 'In The Zone.'

Heavens to Betsy, I love me some Competent Tony! I don't think I've had this much fun since An Eye For An Eye. I want to be the gun strapped around Tony's thigh Umm, moving on... ;D
I got all excited when they talked about the soil testing. When I worked in an environmental lab, heavy metals analysis was my favorite.
Oh, and Nikki? Vivian Blackadder called, she wants her character's motivation back... ;D

Okay, did I miss something? When did Nikki become part of Gibbs' team?

Yay! An actual military-related episode! And a field trip, no less. I loved those in Season One.
They had better not be trying to sneak in Nikki as a new regular character for next season, unless they actually make her interesting first.

Considering that it dealt with Le Storyline That Would Not Die, I liked this one better than I thought I would. Fornell is so not getting a Christmas card from Gibbs this year. The whole Shocking Twist EndingTM was, in my opinion, totally unnecessary. Jenny didn't kill La Grenouille... or did she? Dum dum dummmm... I'm really not buying it, and here's why. Trent Kort said he killed LG, and he had the hall pass from the CIA to prove it. Do you really see TK sticking his neck out for anyone, let alone Jenny? If he really thought she had squished the frog, his bald little head would have been working overtime to find a way to get her fired/arrested/run her panties up the flagpole/whatever.
Also, they found a shell casing on the deck of the boat... I don't think it was ever specified if it matched Jenny's 9mm Glock or just a 9mm Glock. How hard would it be to run the ballistics? Abby can do it in her sleep.
Nice that Jeanne went to Africa to be all altruistic and all she could spend her time on was thinking of ways to get revenge on Tony. Perhaps a Tragic!Hippo!Accident! is in the works for her?
The FBI must not have ever actually believed what Jeanne told them about Tony killing her dad, or else everything they did other than interrogating Tony - here I'm looking at, for example, removing Jenny from her duties, and WHAT was up with the toothpick? - was a complete and total waste of time. They would have gone right straight for Tony.
Weren't there supposed to be polygraph tests?

Hey, interesting question, Meg. I picked Ziva because I don't think I've ever really gotten her... I enjoy watching her character but I still don't always know what she is going to do next. Tony is pretty easy to write because all you really need are movie quotes and angst; Ducky, rambling stories; Abby, excitability and Caff-Pow. I've never tried to write the Director that I can recall. I've been doing more McGee lately, and I've really enjoyed it because it's a new way to see the other characters through his perspective. Right now I'm writing a first person (which I've never done in fanfiction) of McGee's thoughts on Kate's funeral. I'm sure it's obvious who my favorite character is to write

Funny stuff. Poor Tony, a needle in his bum. Loved Ducky's lecture about seasickness as well.
Are there going to be more chapters? I couldn't tell if it is a one-shot (get it? shot) or not.

I second SG's suggestion. Maybe we could each write an episode? They'd all be different and certainly very interesting! ;D
Of course we mean it, tweeter. (And I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter of your story...)

Oh, that's great! An award for Tony (and maybe a hug fromme, too ;D). I've been thinking about Model Behavior after I saw Requiem - it's about darn time someone gave that boy a medal, bless his lil' heart.

Could someone who attended the Special Agents Seminar PM me? I have a question about the agent notes that I took and can't read that part of my writing:) Now that's a really interesting dilemma. ;D

NO WAY!! That was Normal? He looks a lot older (maybe because he no longer has the hair and clothes of Mark from Rent).
Now I really hope he comes on NCIS.

He even had the same hair and similar round glasses.
I think we may have been watching too muchjust the right amount of NCIS, Saskie.
I don't have any caps to prove the resemblance, though. But it was uncanny.
