So, who watched CSI tonight?
Because the guy who played the second dead girl's shrink totally looked like a 30-years-older version of Jimmy Palmer. Weird.

LOL!! And the thing that kept me from laughing and squealing was that my parents were in the room with me, haha! I got to laugh and squeal all I want. He looks quite good under the scrubs. And I loved the look on his face when he turned off the light and looked at her.

nrg: you have to quote the entire thing, and then delete out the part you don't want. (As far as I know. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?) Anyway, thanks for the info. Is that sort of a neutral way of discharging someone from the military? Because Dishonorable seems a bit harsh (he did save three people) but Honorable might not go over well with whoever decides these things... the Switzerland response seems appropriate here.

I feel sorry for him, he didn't do anything bad... he just wanted to be a Marine. He wasn't selling drugs, and he save his men. I know that you can have bad consequences - and it could have been bad, it was for the interrogators - but he was such a sweet guy. This episode reminded me of Family Secret and the ensuing debate: does the end justify the means? I think you could make a case for rationalizing Werth's steroid use (even if it was illegal and/or not military approved) but only up to the point when he lost it and started endangering other people. And I think it's a safe assumption that his military career is over, which is a shame, but I really don't see how he could stay in the Marines. At least Werth didn't turn into a crazy sniper when he was rejected from the Marines (yes, I did just watch One Shot One Kill yesterday).

Yeah ,I've seen that too. Here is a capture I've just made. Here That's funny to see those kind of stuff. ;D Thanks for the cap Sandy. It appears to say 'Order my cliffs notes on the script.' And that MW has some cute handwriting. I bet they find a way to erase that digitally before the DVD release... someone at the production office is reading this board and smacking him/herself on the forehead. I bet they didn't think anyone would notice. Fortunately, we are all obsessive have sharp eyes. Still thinking about the Werth situation... on the one hand, he deserved the Silver Star for saving those guys, but on the other hand, he probably has a court martial coming for, you know, all the drug use. I'm assuming that the two cancel each other out. So what I'm wondering is (and navyresgirl can probably answer this) what kind of discharge will he receive? Dishonorable, honorable, medical or is there another kind I'm not aware of?

Right, I did love the ending. I thought it was a perfectly appropriate and Gibbs-like thing to do.
However, I may still have some residual angst despite having written buckets of fiction about Requiem.
See, I would have liked the ending much much better if this episode had aired before Requiem. My second thought, after "Awwww," was "Wait a minute. He'll give away his Silver Star to a Marine he barely knows, but he can't even stinking say thank you to Tony for dragging him out of the river?" (Granted, every episode that passes post-Requiem makes it less and less likely that it will ever be acknowledged. I think the probability is hovering right around zero at this point.) But it's still, I don't know, kind of inconsistent.
And bear in mind that Gibbs keeps his medals in Tony's desk drawer. (Funny, I just watched Model Behavior yesterday.) So, sooner or later Tony will figure out what Gibbs did. I think that's gotta suck a little bit for him.
Anyway, the more I thought about it (and I totally got so distracted that I burned Mr Celestial's french toast ;D) is that I wonder if that's a peek inside Gibbs' head? When Gibbs delivered the line about putting your life in someone else's hands, I immediately thought of Tony actually performing CPR on him. But, I don't think that Gibbs would make the connection himself. And the stuff about being able to trust the guy next to you contradicts the way he went off on his own (tried to) to get Maddie at the warehouse.
So, what I'm wondering is, does Gibbs not see NCIS as being in the same league as what he did in the Marines. I mean, it's obviously not the same thing, but it's not hugely dissimilar either. I mean, here he's got this team that is almost dysfunctionally loyal to him, they place their lives in danger constantly (we all know what Kate said in Twilight), but I just don't think Gibbs sees them as being on the same level (emotionally) as the Marines he served with. Gibbs takes his team for granted sometimes - he certainly did with the whole leaving for Mexico/coming back to Mexico thing.
I guess Gibbs was telling the truth when he said he's not an ex-Marine. In a sense it's like he never left, because no experience he's had since then can measure up. And it kind of makes me wonder if joining NCIS was kind of a consolation proze for him (I'm assuming he couldn't be on active duty anymore after the first coma, I certainly got that impression).
Anyway. My bed is calling, so I will have to list all the things I loved about this episode in the morning. But I have one more question to add... did anyone see what was written on the Post It note on Tony's computer monitor? All I could catch was the word 'script.' Methinks MW forgot to take down one of his notes to himself! ;D

Why do I have the feeling that there's going to be sheepfic based on this episode? (And why would I not be at all surprised if it's posted sometime between midnight and 2 a.m.?)

How great, they're quoting UnSEALed in this one. I love it when they go back to past episodes! ;D I'll have to dig out Season One and watch that one today! It was great - one of the McGee episodes before McGee was part of the team. Tony also mentioned The Fugitive during Season 4 - was is Escaped?

Wow, Ziva didn't just look intrigued, she looked turned on! Well, yeah. She did. Ziva just has the worst luck with men, doesn't she.

After watching it a few more times I think we can conclude that the person in the hospital room isn't a team member, it's probably the robot soldier guy. Because first we see someone unlocking a wire door - like the psych ward - and Gibbs, Ziva, and McGee behind it. (Couldn't see Tony.) And then we see three people going into the mostly dark hospital room. (It brought back fond memories for me - the lights maybe weren't blue but they were definitely blueish.)
If one of the team members was in the hospital, I don't think that the other three would visit, and certainly not at night and not all at the same time. On the other hand, I cold totally see them busting into Robot Soldier's room to interrogate him - they've done it before, I think it was Season 2 but can't remember which one.
But, it was definitely Tony getting head-butted before he hoisted Ziva up against the wall (and you crack me up, sheep; she did look slightly intrigued. "I've never met a man who's stronger than me." Oooh!) So, he gets yet another head injury. ;D

And Tony got head-butted.
And someone ends up in the hospital.
I can't wait.

Via FoN: From: The Futon Critic Tuesday, Nov. 27 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) NCIS - The team comes to the realization that a Marine is the subject of a secret experiment to create a Super Soldier. The mind boggles.... ;D This sounds rather Dark Angel to me...

If it's the evidence garage, then where's the welder? ;D
(Maybe he's inside Gibbs' boat too - they could be playing Sardines.)
