Both from Flamingo Road. The Harmony was the name of a boat that Sam and Lane Ballou sailed off in. I just grinned when I saw it, so it is not just towns in NCIS that get named "Harmony". ;D Talking of which. There really is a town called Harmony in California. Passed it during our California tour last year. Gotta dig through my pics, I think we took a picture of the sign I'm still thinking about which tv series/ daily soap was set in Harmony. Any clue? As for thread titles... how about one of the leftovers from previous votings. I definitely think we should get one called Deadly to womenCheers, Mel

It's on ebay Germany. Hope the link works. Otherwise look for item #110210695270. Seems like you are bidding on a print of the original painting though. Cheers, Mel

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY
@mchnelson: Yeah, but definitely one of the better films Mark starred in. It's true it was kind of odd but then again the characters MF and HD played were very much like the characters they played on FR.
Cheers, Mel

Talking of Mark's siblings, there is a clip off Ozzie And Harriet feat. Kristin dancing with her hubby: youtubeIn this clip is a site mentioned selling several episodes. Does anyone have any clue what episode we are looking for? IIRC Mark said something about the kind of follow up series Ozzie's Girls which isn't listed on that page. Cheers, Mel

Whahey... finally the scan of last weeks interview in "Freizeitwoche" And I tried to translate it. Bear with me if there are any grammatical mistakes. All the wrong information is originally in the interview, not due to my bad english . Fancy cars are nothing Mark Thomas Harmon (56) would care about. „The Sexiest Man Alive“ of '86 arrives for the interview in Los Angeles' Hilton Hotel in a baggy Range Rover. Nonchalantly, just like Special Agent Gibbs of NCIS, he hands his car keys to the porter and saunters into the lounge. On his jacket you can still see the leftovers of his breakfast. Apologetically he wipes off the bread crumbs: „I overslept and had a Tuna Sandwich on the way here. I'm not a real person without something in my stomach in the morning. „Why don't you have somebody driving you?“I prefer driving myself, I don't care a thing for limousines with tainted window panes. You miss too much of the landscape. „A car is no status symbol for you?“I don't need anything to emphasize my social class or status; neither to know who I am nor to feel happy. „What then?“My wife Pam, who loves me. And does so for more than 20 years. My two boys. My work. A car is nothing more than a mean of transportation to get from A to B. All this celebrity fuss, a limousine with a a liveried chauffeur in the morning or something like that was never an option. Our sons should be aware: I do my job just like every other dad. When the shooting is done and I drive home in my – to be honest – somewhat rattly car, I'm no one else than Mark Thomas Harmon who looks forward to seeing his wife and his kids. „Have your sons Sean Thomas (19) and Ty Christian (15) been aware of their dad being a star?“Not at all. That's why we didn't have a telly at home until they were reasonably grown-up teenagers. Back when they were younger I used to read them fairy tales before they went to sleep. And I still don't like computer games, they destroy all fantasy and are more over offending a sound family life. „But the two were approached for his dad at school, weren't they?“Without a doubt. But the term „star“ existed in our home only for the small lights on the night sky. You shouldn't overrate your own importance. „What is most important in your life today?“To live every minute like the last. To try not to do anything I would regret when my last minute arrives. I lost dear friends and family abrupt and unexpected and therefore always remember life could be over real fast. My sister in law Leslie died too soon from a cardiac defect. And my brother in law died in a plane crash. „You safed the lives of three young people.“I was in the kitchen preserving jelly when I heard a loud bang. Pam and me ran outside and saw the car crashed against a wall. It was already burning. Quick-witted Pam got a sledge hammer from our garage. With this we knocked in the panes because the doors were jammed. One after the other we freed the three boys.. Just in time before the gas tank exploded. „And if the car exploded sooner?“My wife and me would be gone. But we didn't think about the danger for a single second. „You were celebrated as hero?“We escaped this terrifying possibility by spontaneously departing the USA to an unknown destination. „You filed a lawsuit against your older sister Kristin to receive custody for you grandson Sam. Was this struggle necessary?“Unfortunately it was. My sister was an addict. Succumbed to alcohol. She wasn't able to give Sam the education, security and above all the love he deserves. And he couldn't turn to his biological father Ricky Nelson. He died in a plane crash on New Years Eve, his mother Leslie was dead as well. Children are the most precious to all of us. They are our future. That's why Sam's well-being was close to my heart. There was no future for him with my sister. „Who is the real Mark Thomas Harmon?“Nothing special. Just an actor. I'm not worth mentioning. Stations of his life:Born on September 02nd, 1951 in Burbank/ Los Angeles. His father Tom was a famous football player, his mother Elyse is an actress. 1978 film debut with „Comes A Horseman“ 1986 he receives a Golden Globe for his performance of serial killer Ted Bundy in „The Deliberate Stranger“ 1992 and 1993 he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role as Detective Dicky in „Reasonable Doubts“ Since 1987 Mark Thomas Harmon is married to Pam Dawber (56, Mindy of Mindy & Mork) Cheers, Mel

Thanks wanderer Karma goes your way Never seen those on ebay, but I guess I should keep my eyes open. As for the long-pants one. It seems it was done for the Orange mag shooting. This one was done by Julie Dennis Brothers. She runs a website but no sign of Mark there

Since we're babbling our way to the new thread... Do you know what really cracked me up? When I was listening to the audio commentary for Bone Yard and MW told how Mark's hair looks much like a yamaka. I couldn't help myself but when I was watching old episodes afterwards that's what I was paying attention to. And the worst? MW was right Mark's hair seemed to refuse becoming real silver on the top for quite a while and it looked like a natural grown yamaka indeed... Anyways. So do we have the new thread yet? No? How about some video entertainment in the mean time? Since there was a request for a dancing McNeil, I uploaded his dance with the old lady in the wheelchair. Sorry, I don't have the episode where he is taking dancing lessons with Lisa. And a couple of caps from that scene. They're not that good as he was moving kinda fast... rumba... Enjoy your Sunday Cheers, Mel

I think he was confronting someone with a gun in an alley. The eps are in German, (thankyou you kibbs ;D) so not sure what is exactly happening. You're more than welcome If you could give me the episode number I would make the sacrifice to figure out what the episode is all about. Yeah, it really is something I wouldn't normally do, especially not if it involves a certain Mark Harmon Cheers, Mel

Yeah... you should definitely get the real stuff Hiding the diary underneath a drawer? Did that myself... and in addition to that I wrote it in English so that even if my parents found it they wouldn't understand a word Thread is coming to a close... I like the Papa Smurf idea. Would even call it "Papa Smurf on the bat" since I totally expect more Oklahoma pics in the thread to come Cheers, Mel
