I am going to feel bad for Nikki stating how her brother died  and the team being worried for Tony and Nikki. Just the look on Tony's face in the trailer. |

i'm sorry about the whole name thing ... i forgot her name and when i remembered it, i was tired and lazy and didn't fix it
tony looks good in that combat gear
i don't think nikki (germaphobe) will become a series regular ..... i think she might turn out to be the new paula cassidy though. i guess they want to give her character more depth by having a personal moment in this episode.

Why did Ziva even think she'd hve a chance to go. A federal agency sending an Israeli National to a Muslim war zone, definetly never going to happen. Oh yea Nikki was also really naive to think she could handle this.
Also Zivas got that funky hairdo that i like on her. nice...

Heavens to Betsy, I love me some Competent Tony! I don't think I've had this much fun since An Eye For An Eye. I want to be the gun strapped around Tony's thigh Umm, moving on... ;D
I got all excited when they talked about the soil testing. When I worked in an environmental lab, heavy metals analysis was my favorite.
Oh, and Nikki? Vivian Blackadder called, she wants her character's motivation back... ;D

Did enjoy episode...It was cute in the beginning when Ziva gave McGee a kiss on the cheek  And Tony taking charge that was good..Nikki was cool. |

Y'know, every time someone mentions this Blackadder person, all I can think of is that Rowan Atkinson character. I do hope this ep wasn't a portent of Nikkis to come. Although Vance was hanging around, with no toothpick. And Jenny was AWOL. So I'll take that foreshadowing and run with it. But not without the trusty spoiler bar. Curses, now I have nothing to put under here. And, Jethro. Glad he and McGee are getting along. And celestial, you can be the thigh gun, but I am the vest. I'd say the t-shirt under the vest, but, alas, I do not have a sweat fetish. |

I sure hope you are right about Nikki not becoming a regular because all through this episode I kept fearing that was what they were trying to prepare us for. I know they tried to make her more sympathetic by showing us her brother's plight and by having her do less bumbling but to me she still acted way too nuts and unprofessional jumping out of the truck like that, and in a way that could have been dangerous to those with her. Its like on Monk, okay he's a brillant detective and he can help them solve cases, but the writers wrote an explanation into the show that they won't let him back officially on the force because his phobias might keep him from backing up a fellow officer in need some day even though he can be temporarily successful at overcoming them on occasion. I don't think it would be any more realistic for the NCIS writers to expect us to accept that Nikki can be either be so suddenly and completely"cured" or come up with enough coping gimmicks to be a safe bet in the field. So I sure hope she is not a regular. Overall I was not impressed with this episode, but it could have been because of my problems with this character. Plus if she hangs around isn't it more likely that it will be one of the three agents leaving and not the director? ALL JMHO |

2 other things that kinda bugged me with this ep. What was up with Tony's circling interrogation technique? I also wish Tony had Gibbs smacked Nikki when she got out of the Humvee and when she dragged them back into dodge to give people who probably don't have electricity a laptop.

Tony's done that circling thing before. He's definitely done it to McGee, but in general, it bugs the person he's questioning. At least, that's my take on it. I agree. Anything you can do to mess with their mind is always a good technique. |
