In that second her whole life, and the lives of the people she loved, changed forever. She stood there, out of view as her friends, her team mates, wheeled what they thought was her dead body out of the building. She could see the pain on their faces and for a moment she wanted to go to them, tell them that it was a mistake, that she was still alive, but, only for a moment because as soon as he came up behind her, put his arms around her and kissed her, she now she was doing the right thing.
That was the day Kate Todd and Ari Haswarri died and the day Mr and Mrs Alex St Clare were born.
