Another great episode. I didn't love it as much as the first two, but they can't all be perfect! And I'm taking off another half point for the old DC video.

I dunno what it is, but Gibbs and Ziva centric episodes aren't as good as Tony, Abby and McGee ones.
Shrugs.
Still good, though.

I didn't like this one compared to the other two. I liked the ending, though, because it is really playing on the relationship between Gibbs and Vance.

7.5 which is probably bit a generous. Pretty blah to be honest, felt like a season 2 ep. It gets a couple points off for the fact that I knew the wife was the killer from about the 15 minute mark.

I think I liked it more than I otherwise would have for two reasons: 1) The Senator reminded me of any number of Senators and Representatives that I've interacted with for my job--as did his Chief of Staff (or whatever his title was). 2) The whole cupcake subplot was hilarious. Yeah, it was silly but I loved how Abby wasn't going to let it go until she solved it.

9 from me. no it wasn't as good as the first two, but still... the cupcake plot was worth a lot. tony hugging mcgee then gibbsslapping him. ziva gibbsslapping mcgee. tony to ziva: you were doing better before you went back to israel.
i knew the senator was in on it from the beginning.
i'm really liking vance. i hope he doesn't turn out to be a bad guy - we still don't know what was in that paper. i love his interaction with gibbs - of course - and mcgee. haven't really seen him as much with tony or ziva to tell...

I gave it a 7.5. Wasn't as good as the first two but there was some funny moments.
McGee falling in the water. I loved that.
The highlight for me was the "cupcake case". Abby's mini crime scene in the lab, the mouth swabs and the mini interrogation by Abby, Ziva and Tony. So funny!
That cupcake looked so yummy! Aww now i have a craving for chocolate lol

Gave it 7/10. Loved some parts, some parts not so much.
The murder storyline wasn't that interesting. It was hard to follow for me at the start. But when the wife came into play I immediately knew she did it.
But I loved the side parts. The McGee/DiNozzo interaction was as good as always. The whole cupcake things was crazy, but sweet ;D (that plot was much better hidden)

The best part about the cupcake subplot was that it could totally happen. Here in DC there have been several cupcake shops that opened up in the past year, and right now in the Washington Post they are having "Cupcake Wars" where they compare the cupcakes from two shops and declare one the winner. They rate size, cost, amount of frosting, taste (of course), even weight. They're on preliminary round 5 of 6 and then it's on to the semifinals. (You gotta love being the cupcake reporter in the midst of all the other nonsense that's going on in DC these days... ) People take their cupcakes VERY seriously around here.

8.5 from me. 1.5 marks taken off for predictability (knew the chief of staff was the red herring right away and knew the wife did it when she mentioned the woman was shot in the back). But I loved seeing Gibbs in this situation, and his interaction with Vance is great. I'd love to see Gibbs and Vance have the kind of relationship that Gibbs and Morrow had. Gibbs goes to him, respects him, and Vance will use his powers to help out and back Gibbs and his team, not get in the way. The cupcake looked so good. I want one. Oh, McGee. As if you thought you could get away with it. Abby wouldn't rest until she caught the thief.
Oh, and seeing Tony, McGee and Ziva peek out from behind the plasma was hilarious. Great shot set up.

Another great ep. Yeah the mystery of the whodunnit wasn't much of a surprise, but 'the case' isn't why I watch the show. The dialogue and banter was spot on. Unlike the Season of Stupid Secrets, there wasn't any extraneous dialogue or waffle. The additional time that the team have had to produce and polish the show is obvious. Gibbs was very old school grumpy which I love...and Vance is the quite simply Da Man!

Hey AZ how goes it ! I likewise don't watch for the plots so much as the character interaction and eyecandy.. Old enough to know better but love watching MW and MH . It was obvious that the wife was involved and so felt for Gibbs at the 'betrayal' by his friend. 2 points off however for the cupcake antics.. it annoyed Gibbs and went on a bit for my liking too and .5 of a point back on for the team peeking up from behind the plasma ;D And my 'gut' does not trust Leon and I know Gibbs doesn't either, that look at the end said more then a full three pages of dialogue. 8.5

This episode wasn't as good as the first two, so I gave it a 7.
