I gave it an 8, I don't think it was the best episode it was nice to see Gibb's dad and a bit of his back story but that doesn't change the fact that hes 3rd or 4th on my list of characters I want to learn more about. I always find Gibb's centric episodes a bit boring tbh, he just doesn't interest me as a character in the same way Tony or Ziva do.

Totally agree.

For the most part, Gibbs centric episodes are kind of boring and usually not filled with the usual humor we're used to seeing in the show.

Although, Heartland was way better than Capitol Offense.

I gave it an 8. A good solid ep. A usually hate the weepies, but this ep didn't waffle on with too much overly melodramatic bla bla bla. Of course there wasn't enough Tony - but the Tony we did get was A+++. Congrats to the team for a fantastic season so far.

A really sweet (bittersweet) episode. Was nice to to see Gibbs' hometown and meet his Dad and AZ I'm with you I'm not into all the sentimental weepies really but it was handled in a fairly solid fashion and I have to admit to tearing up at the end when he said goodbye to his father and was remembering his first meeting with Shannon at the Railway station and her rules.

Not my favourite episode and although not a car person at all that car was smokin' and you could tell that Gibbs' loved it, maybe the old wounds between them will heal now.

Loved Ducky's tux at the start , Go the dapper duck man!

hi. ncis is awesome. i loved the episode about gibbs and his dad. i would like to see the two of them form a relationship. i would also like to see gibbs meet someone more his own age. someone who can be his emotional opposite and help him to break down that brick wall he has built up over the years. someone who can hold her own like him, but with more of an emotional awareness about how life should be. i actually cried at hearlands end. his son sean did a good job as young gibbs. i love the sense of humour this show has. i think gibbs lied about not having a father because as far as he was concerned he had no relationship with him so he cut him out of his life emotionally. joy

I voted the last time Heartland aired but didn't write anything here. Now it's time.
I gave it a 10 then and still give it a 10 now. In fact I liked it even better this time around.
Really......really want to see Ralph Waite make another appearance as Jackson Gibbs - this time in DC.

10 out of 10 for me.
Best epi so far this season. I've been living in Germany for a while now and here they are way behind with season six, so I watched it for the first time (and dubbed in German) last night. I'd been reading all the spoilers beforehand of course and had convinced myself that I wouldn't like this episode as I don't really go in for the sentimental stuff. But it worked. I loved Jackson, although I kept expecting him to say 'goodnight John-Boy' :-). Hopefully, we'll meet him again. Gibbs needs a bit of 'light' in his life.
Can't wait to see this one in English.

I loved this one and I'm hoping this has the commentary on the DVD which store opens at 10:00 I will be there at 9:59, right to the NCIS DVD rack. I can't wait, it will have to tide me over until the 22 of Sept.
