Bob Newhart and David McCallum sharing scenes. Ho wants to try and guess what long, drawn out stories will be told?

Tissue, Pauley? Really? Umm... it wasn't that good.
Is Bob Newhart older than David McCallum? Because honestly, when they were on screen together Ducky looked older.

From Pauley on Twitter: woohoo! my 10,000 post! ;D I didn't realize that Bob Newhard and Ducky were so short. Or maybe that Pauley is so tall.

I just commented on this episode at TV.com, and I will just put the same down here....this episode came as an unexpected present. That is what this episode was to me. I was touched by the way they handled the very heavy subject of Alzheimer's, and the struggle of someone who realizes that everything he knows and cares about is slipping away from him. I usually do not like the sweet endings where the team goes a bit out of their way to help someone ( f.i. the boy whom they had making contact with his mother on Christmas I think), but this was done very well. The case itself was dealing with a rather heavy subject too, being gay in the navy and a father who does everything to defend his son, but doesn't know how and makes all the wrong decisions. Maybe a bit too much for one episode, but I think the really made it work. I even could stand Tony with his fishing about Ziva's mystery man. He shut up just in time before getting annoying. As for what is going on with Vance, I haven't got a clue, but I am sure this is leading somewhere. As I wasn't expecting anything (I didn't have time for the pre-episode buzz) I was really surprised and enjoyed this episode very much.
I don't know where the scenes with Vance are going to go, is he leaving?

Bob Newhart is 4 years (and two weeks) older than David McCallum. I thought he looked much older than Ducky -- mostly because of the dark circles under his eyes.

It was a good episode! I had to cry in the end a bit when I saw the marine with his wife and the baby. It's always so sad to watch that. Case was good and Ducky's friend so very entertaining Ugh, I hope we get to meet this freaking Ray. If it's another finale story I'll quit

Wow, this was really an intense episode which I liked very much. Would put it even on my top 3 list since season one. Congratulations to writers and cast who did an excellent job with the heavy subjetcs. One of my favourite scene (although there were a lot more) was Gibbs' talk to the father during the son's questioning: "He still got a father; act like one". Where was Palmer as Ducky asked for Gibbs approval to get help/advice from his predecesor during his absence? - on holiday too or did I miss something? I'm of the same opinion as pbb and think that there is more behind Vance's comments ("I'm tired", etc. and I'm looking forward to see the next episodes. Can't wait - again 2 weeks waiting time.

You bet! I was still sobbing 10 minutes after the credits rolled. Beautifully written episode and beautifully acted by one and all. The choice of music to score the last few scenes with was spot on. I'm quite a fan of Lady Antebellum and have loved the song "Hello World" since the 1st time I heard it and now love it even more.
