Just curious what was the link to NCIS?

;D Lelu, I wondereed the same thing. However -- I'm guessing the link with Hetty -- and Hetty's many connections within depts. everywhere -- allowed her to take over the case.
I loved the show anyway.
What do I love? *Callen/Sam *Kensi/Deeks *Hetty *Everyone's respect, fear and concern of Hetty.
Whatshername did not annoy me so much last night -- but I did not feel she was pushed in my face as she has been in past eps. [And I still say Eric does not need her.]
Kensi blowing Deeks chances with the yoga ladies. She was soooo proud of herself.
Callen/Sam and the dogs. *lol* And after they made it over the fence, G's comment -- your car's still in there.
The guys banding together over Kensi's choice of where to kick... I think that's the only time I've seen the three of them agree on anything.
Hetty nearly shooting G from the closet - she didn't because she caught a whiff of Sam. *lol*
And my fave quote of the night was from Deeks: "M-O-U-S-E!"
This ep reminded me of a Numb3rs one where Colby was outed as a spy -- the Janus List. I kept expecting them to call the book a Janus List. *lol*
After accepting the fact that the only reason NCIS was involved was because of Hetty, I sat back and enjoyed the whole thing. Looking for all to be revealed in the next episode.
Do you REALLY think Hetty had no other weapons on her person? I must have missed something because I couldn't figure out how did G know where to find her at the end?

Kensi was awesome in this episode, the whole hetty thing was kinda meh but i love the Yoga girls bit as well as the boat house scene where she was like "so i should have pistol whipped him instead" "YES!!!".

Having a face and body that would look right at home on the cover of Maxim doesn't hurt either. I also have to give Deek's credit, after she dropped the whole 'with my brother' bombshell you could see he knew when he'd been completely outclassed in the banter department.

I really like Deeks. He's got Tony's cocky attitude - especially towards women -- and he's funny, but not stupid. I also get the impression he's not sure where he fits in with this group yet. I think the attitude is a cover for some insecurities.
I liked in the ep before this when he finally broke down and told Kensi why he's so odd about his gun... of course, the confession was brought on by Hetty - who'd spun him a story - but still... I feel like he and Kensi are starting to bond. Baby steps.

Im still on the fence about Deek's I want to like him as I think Eric Christen Olson is great but I can't get over the fact that hes a plot device. I still feel that they're forcing a shipper-type vibe with he and Kensi that just doesn't belong. I'll be happy if they keep it more along the Tony/Kate lines than the Tony/Ziva lines though.

I'm really not getting a shipper vibe from Kensi/Deeks. And didn't I read in one of the interviews when they announced that Deeks was coming on the show that K/D didn't really feel they were going to go that route with them?
I like what I "feel" between them -- it's more of a G/Sam thing.
I was not thrilled with the Tony/Kate dynamics, personally. She seemed to be a snot most of the time; and I thought they played Tony as especially childish and annoying while dealing/working with her.

I absolutely adore Nell now, I don't know why but she's just soooo adorable. Shocking episode like the original. Very suspenseful. Can't wait for next week. GO NELL.

And my fave quote of the night was from Deeks: "M-O-U-S-E!" I paused and blinked for a second before I actually realized what he just spelled out and laughed my head off!! ;D I am loving Deeks' sense of humor!!! This ep reminded me of a Numb3rs one where Colby was outed as a spy -- the Janus List. I kept expecting them to call the book a Janus List. *lol* Ohhh the Janus List, that was one heck of an episode, I think half the fandom died of a heart-attack when Colby was outed. It was so unexpected. This episode was similar with the whole spy-sense, but I think I was able to predict this episode more than the Numb3rs one. I totally did not see the Colby-thing on Numb3rs coming.

My heartfelt thanks to the producers for casting Jürgen Prochnow as Matthias, a wonderful, consummate German actor who did a great job with the character and made my linguist heart happy. Why couldn't they find another actor who could at least fake being a native speaker a little more convincingly to play Branston Cole? Don't get me wrong, I think Raymond J. Barry did a fine job as an actor but for a supposed Stasi guy his German was awful—even if he has lived in the US for a long time.
I watched the two-parter back to back so I don't remember if it was this episode or the next but I wish they'd write an episode with foreigners in it where we don't get stupid xenophobic clichés all over the place. The part about the baddies maybe just being cruel and torturous for no other reason than being German was unnecessary. I'm sure French or Russian (or any other nationality) viewers have the same issues with how their fellow countrymen are portrayed. I can't speak to that, I can just say that that was stupid.
I did enjoy the story line after I got over these shortcomings, I just wish I didn't have to.
Calling Hetty a Gartenzwerg (garden gnome) was just wow. What a nickname. She is by far my favorite character on the show. She just cracks me up!
I like how Deeks is starting to become part of the team. I know a lot of people were sad to see Dom go and though I didn't want him dead I'm very happy for the switch. Deeks is a much better fit IMO.
