This must be a Callen-centric episode. Hmmm....
(Personal as in the Callen scene back in 2.14.)

This must be a Callen-centric episode. Hmmm.... (Personal as in the Callen scene back in 2.14.) I have a feeling it's going to be a Deeks episode. Since Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Deeks, tweeted that their was going to centric episode about his character coming soon which will be like amazing all. And since it's titled 'Personal', you can only assume it's about a certain character. Since last week we had a Callen episode in Tin Soldiers, I don't think they will do like two in a row. I do however think they will make another Callen season finale again. Hahaha, just my randomy theories...

LOL funny that this episode generated some of the biggest buzz I've seen LA has done. On another forum, normally the LA threads don't go past 3 pages even after the episode airs, but this time it's already over 3 pages and the episode hadn't even started it yet! I hope everyone is happy with the outcome and we have our cuddly Deeks back safe with us!

Yay Deeks! He will live to annoy another day. *lol* He's also my hero. I knew he'd not stay in that bed once he figured out what was going on. I was SOOO hoping we'd get to see Sam's Lessons On Being An Agent. Seems unfair that G got to watch and we didn't. "If I get shot again, you all better be crying." Sam may not have cried when G got shot ["Where's the love?"], but he sounded plenty worried and upset. *lol* Kensi, of course, rocked as always. I love how she is such a strong and capable woman -- without being made to seem like a comic book super hero. I also love how they show us her conflicting emotions -- about herself, her job and Deeks. She's a real person. I do think the characters on this show are - for the most part - written better than NCIS in that they are more consistent. Each person has their own personal characteristics that don't change from show to show. Sure, Dom and Nate were exceptions to that. But Dom's gone now; and Nate has been relegated to guest star status and they're "upgrading" his character. Hetty. What can I say? Even Chris O. said on the S1 dvds - she's got this Yoda-like quality... She's probably the most unbelievable -- but she MAKES you believe. Or she makes ME believe, anyway. Macy was good, but I think the show would have been a lot more like the original if she had stayed. To me, she came off as a female Gibbs. While it probably would have still been good, and I would have watched it, I love what the show has become. Hetty is ... Hetty. Unique. Mysterious. Omniscient.

Yay Deeks! He will live to annoy another day. *lol* He's also my hero. I knew he'd not stay in that bed once he figured out what was going on. How awesome was that!!! He may be in the hospital but he still ends up saving the day!!! He has his partner's back no matter what!!! BRAVO DEEKS! I'm so proud of my baby!!!! I was SOOO hoping we'd get to see Sam's Lessons On Being An Agent. Seems unfair that G got to watch and we didn't. I just had to laugh at how Sam and Callen acted like the older brothers. Just like I said on another forum, Sam is the oldest brother, he may think Deeks is a pain but he's not gonna let anyone harm him, and once he knew Deeks was okay, he went into big-brother-lecturing mode. And Callen is that reasonable and laid-back middle brother who mediates between the big brother and the baby brother and try to tame the oldest brother's temper and take it easy on the little one! ;D This team is such a family! I think what NCIS LA benefits from is the experience of the original NCIS. With the original show, they can see where things may have gone wrong or not work out and try to avoid that with the LA show. And I think it gives LA more of an edge because they've got that advantage and the experience of the original backing them up. Hetty is ... Hetty. Unique. Mysterious. Omniscient. LOL! Hetty is god-like! She just knows! And you believe her!! She must have had some evil psychological mind control training at some point in her career! ---------------------- And by the way, what is it with everyone eating poor Deeks' jello!!! The man just wants some jello!! I like that the episode tied in the past missions with the present in a reasonable way and we got to learn something about Deeks' personal background too!!! Poor baby!!

That was a great episode. It showed Deeks is more than just a funny guy. Great to find out something about his background.
I knew something was off quiet early. Standing over someone and don't kill 'm off? That was weird. But I'm glad he is ok. He's been great so far this season and I don't think anyone regrets they upgraded him to a series regular.

I really loved this episode. I will try to write more in the next days. But I have 1 question: Is there e not a mistake in the Timeline about Deeks (and his father) or are I`m mistaken?
in 2.03 Borderline : Deeks and Kensi talk about their Dads. This happens in minute 12. During this talk Marty said: That His father said to him "I hate you Marty" and fired a shotgun at him. If I understand it correctly Deeks said, that it happens on Thanksgiving 6 years ago. Which would means it was in 2004.
in 2.17 Personal we learned that Deeks shoot his father in self defense, when he was 11. During Deeks conservation/talk with Hetty, Hetty bring him Up to date about his father. That Gordon John Brandel was released from prison in 1996, after serving 5 years of a 7 years sentence. And that Brandel died at a roadside accident in 1998.And also the talk in generally (without the dates) don`t match/ is contrary sort of to the information from 2.03.

Anne Well this can easily to attributed to the fact that Deeks could just be telling the half-truth, I mean, these guys don't normally divulge too personal informations, they just joke or something like that. I mean, even now Deeks has not told Kensi or anyone else that Brandel is his father, so clearly there are things that even Deeks doesn't want to talk about.
