Wow! And I say again -- WOW!!! Kensi totally rocked last night.
And NO -- I'm still not getting a romantic vibe from Kensi/Deeks. To me, the show seems to be exploring partners and how they deal with each other. Callen/Sam are seasoned professionals, they've been a team for a long time now -- and they're men. Kensi/Deeks don't have any of that working for them. To me, Kensi never really had a "real" partner -- sometimes she was with Dom [but he stayed at the Ops center with Eric most of the time] and sometimes with Nate, but... not really partners. And Deeks seems to have done a lot of undercover -- alone. Sure, they both work with the team, but a partner is much more ... intimate. [and I don't mean in a sexy way.] So this partner thing is pretty new to both of them. And the fact that they are of the opposite sex provides a few ... kinks ... that Callen/Sam don't have to deal with. Does Deeks think Kensi's hot? Well, he'd be stupid if he didn't, wouldn't he? But as he said repeatedly last night: "She's my partner. " There's a different kind of emotion that attaches to a partner. And he's not the only one that worries about her - Sam and Callen are always looking out for her. The fact that she's a woman and they are all gentlemen - in the truest sense of the word -- is something Kensi will always have to deal with.
Remember last week when they when they were talking about who would break? Sam and Callen agreed Kensi would be the one to break. Then this week, King kills the kid right in front of her... She seemed so vulnerable... I wonder if they're leading up to something?
One of my favorite lines last night was Eric when he said he talked Kensi thru breaking in -- We get none of the glory. Hetty makes a sound. Eric: But that's okay. I love my job. *lol*
The ending was neat. Callen/Sam heading out to eat. Deeks showing up with food and drink at Kensi's.
NO NEW SHOW NEXT WEEK?! I'm already feeling withdrawal pains!!

The more and more as the season goes on, the more and more I believe that bringing Deeks into the cast was probably one of the best casting moves NCIS LA has ever made! His connection to the team and his character has just brought so much to this show and made it even better!!! And this episode just proves it more and more, I love Deeks' care for Kensi, his loyalty, and his trust in her instincts! When Kensi had been partnered with Dom, the partnership was unbalanced in many ways as Dom was the newbie and Kensi felt the need to show him the ropes and protect him like he was under her charge, but with Deeks, Kensi is not being held down, their partnership is balanced and well-matched, they know they can trust each other to watch their backs and both are well-experienced enough to read a situation and know how to act. Kensi and Deeks' partnership clicked in ways that Kensi and Dom didn't. And I love watching this duo grow! And also, I gotta say nice job on continuity that Kensi had a bruised jaw and that Deeks had to wrap his hand after punching the bad guy, most shows don't pick up on those details that hitting someone is not as easy or painless, so it's great that NCIS LA pays attention to these little moments. Overall, this is just simply a great episode that had everything in it that I wanted!! LA has really grown and able to establish its own unique identity, it is truly a rarity in television these days!

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I loveloveloveloveloved Victor Webster in this one. :] Great episode. What I loved: Victor Webster The part where Stanley pushes Kensi into the pool then actually "saving" her from the explosion. That was epic. Deek's expression at the explosion scene. I love Kensi/Deeks. I thought that he was gonna express his concern. The aftermath of discovering the body, presuming to be Kensi, again, loved Deeks. I thought I would HATE this episode, but it was really good!
