They keep putting Kensi as the Operational Psychologist in the press releases. Does nobody there read them and see the mistake or did she finish her psych degree during the summer break and is replacing Nate?

They keep putting Kensi as the Operational Psychologist in the press releases. Does nobody there read them and see the mistake or did she finish her psych degree during the summer break and is replacing Nate? And Nate was on the guest cast list in the third episode's press release too. Clearly someone needs to be fired from their job for making these obvious mistakes! On the bright side, I see the name Camryn Grimes in the guest list! She's a phenomenal young actress!!! She played the role of Cassie Newman from age 7 to 15 on the soap opera The Young and the Restless until the character died from a car wreck. I can't wait to see her on a new role!!!

Here's a sneak peek preview to the episode!
We get our first glimpse of the new intelligence analyst character that the show plans to introduce!

I really liked this episode. Hetty's birthday and the new analyst. *lol* The case was interesting -- if gruesome. Loved the Kensi/Deeks "couple" scene. And at the end when he says she isn't his type... the look on Kensi's face. ;D I originally thought it was the guy they pulled in -- or maybe his wife -- until I realized there was too much time left on the clock. Then I knew it was probably one of the navy guys.
Looking forward to seeing Alicia Coppola. If they aren't going to bring Faith back, maybe she could be a recurring character on LA...

Im really starting to get annoyed with the way they're handling characters. If Nate is getting the Dom treatment IE disappearing indefinitely for a short but shocking return/demise, I'll be seriously upset that stupid one note/gimmick characters are what we get in his place.
Mr. Brennan is really starting to get on my nerves more with his choices on this show than with his choices on NCIS-proper. I''ve already expressed my annoyance about the LA location so I wont beat that horse anymore at the moment. Additionally I don't understand why OSP is being treated like a homicide unit, I mean a group like that with their skill set should be doing Intelligence/Counter-Intelligence work, or even doing RED team exercises. Its starting to look like Mr. Brennan and Co. can't write an episode that doesn't begin with a dead Sailor/Marine. The characters and story arcs, he creates then throws away like an ADD riddled 5 year old are also getting old. Dom was a wasted character from day one that I never felt fully invested in. This intelligence girl is looking very much like a repeat of Dom, completely one note character that fails to form any sort of attachment with the audience. Deeks feels like a crutch that while entertaining is more for formula than actual necessity. Meanwhile smart and interestingly written/performed characters like Renko and Nate, are left to rot on the writers room floor because the writers seem to have no idea how best to use them. I find this to be 10x more frustrating than the Tony/Ziva conundrum simply because the Tiva issue is something that every producer tries to handle and winds up botching anyway so I've no expectations. TPTB needlessly throwing away good characters in favor of uselessly flat ones is maddeningly inexplicable.

I guess I beg to differ.
I find the analyst girl Neil much more interesting than I ever found Dom was. In fact, I even love her quirks and personality. She has a great connection with Eric and she's really adorable like a kid-sister kind of adorable. I find her more useful than Dom as a character.
I don't find their plots wrong either, the dead marines or sailor almost always are involved in something that is a matter of national security and they have to use covers/surveillance to get info and take down terrorist groups. They barely focus on forensics that much, only when Eric tells them about the reports. I never felt like they were doing full-on crime solving like the DC team. They were always out on the street working covers.
As for Nate's fate, that's up in the air, but this early in the series, I don't think Shane Brennan is that stupid to kill off another popular character. It's one thing to have dead marines every episode and another to have a dead main character every season. It makes a show unstable. And from what I can tell of Peter Cambor's reactions, he seems rather excited about whatever future storyline is in planning.
I would love to see more of Renko, he was my first LA-love, so he's special to me, in fact, I would love him and Deeks meet and do some missions together, they seem like they could get along quite well. But I do know that the actor Brian Avers has recently been busy touring with a theater group so most likely he may not have time out of his schedule to film for LA. But I see Renko as sort of a Fornell character, he's there when needed for storylines, and I'm okay with that.
I guess overall, I'm simply just pleased with LA, it's done better than what I had imagined or even comparing to other spin-offs I have seen, so I give it a round of applause. It has its mistakes and errors, but comparing to the spin-offs spewing out these days, LA is leading the pack. At least LA tries to be different than its original show, unlike CSI, L&O, or Criminal Minds where it's just the same thing in a different city. I give LA points for effort, and I appreciate it.

Oh, so that's who that young girl was. I thought she was a teenager! Good episode.
