Darla, it's OK, Tony's warned us about the "Locals" ;D (banjo music starts to play). I think "smitten" is what I am about Gibbs lovely old fashioned word, for being in love. Valentines Day next week. "Smitten" is a lovely word, isn't it? And do you know the definition of "perfect pitch"? It's throwing an accordion into a dumpster (industrial-sized garbage bin) and hitting a banjo. ;D Hey, bbb: did you mean weird or wired, and just what were you on while you were taking those English classes? ;D (your English is very, very good, btw. Congratulations!)

Sorry, meant weird. I'm sometimes too lazy to spell check. And thank you but in school I only had a C. But was still second best in my class ;D Our teacher used to comment "I really like you guys but your English is awful". So I went to Canada for a couple of years ;D ;D

Canadian vs. American English - now that's enough to drive a person to drink.
You would THINK that with how close we live to one another, the only language barrier would come with USA battling our use of French. Especially considering how many American books we read here in Canada. Want to make a bet?
I worked customer service for an American company and I had to spell a word that used the letter "Z" to someone from another department. And I used the pronunciation I'd always been taught, "Zed." I figured it would be easier because of all the letters that sound the same over the phone when the connection isn't the greatest. The woman on the other end says "Zed? What's Zed?" I'm like "You know, Zee. Zed." She just snaps at me, "Well, then say Zee!" (sounding disgusted): "Zed." Got off that call and I was like, "Okay, then."
Then I put out a question about what we call "physiotherapy" on a fanfic list and was advised that I probably meant "physical therapy." Thankfully I heard that before writing the fanfic, or I'm sure other reviews might have been less polite.

I think my name is pronounced 'Angel Zed', but I'm pretty sure that isn't how other peeps on the board read it!

Okay, here's my dilemma... should I try to fly in Wednesday night, or come in Thursday morning?
If I fly in Wednesday night and nothing starts until Thursday evening, what am I gonna do all day?
I haven't made my airline reservations yet, I need to do that before March if I want to upgrade to First Class (woo hoo!). I have hotel reservations for Thursday through Monday, but I'll be leaving on the red-eye on Sunday.
Decisions, decisions.
