I agree, we need more McGee promo photos. And when it's a group shot, I want him draped over a woman, not standing by himself all alone looking at the action.
While I'm at it: How come that strange scottish guy Craig Ferguson has interviewed Mark Harmon, Pauley Perrette, Michael Weatherly and even Cote de Pablo but NOT Sean Murray or David McCallum?
I'm going to be away when season 4 kicks off again next week. AHHHHHH.

They took a lot of shots of that promo pic, people in different spots, etc. Sean kind've already addressed that on his board when it was mentioned that he was the only one not paired off. It's just that there was an odd number of people so someone was going to be leftover, and in that particular shot, it was him.

It's nice to know that that fact doesn't bother him - I think he knows that it has nothing to do with how "desirable" he is. I think he knows how much we love him already.
Has anyone been on the IMDB boards recently? This is kind of an oldish question, seeing as how it's addressing posts that are about a year old, but does anyone know if smurray12-1 or whatever is really Sean? It was highly debated, and, while there's no way to know for sure, I think it might actually be him.
Anyone got a more recent scoop on that?

I had no doubts myself but others on that thread did, so I wanted to sort've toss out a little bit of support and proof that he was who he claimed to be. Sean knows of me (and many others) from his own board and he used to visit the chatroom here at Ops now and then and chat with us. So I asked him something that only someone who has chatted with me would know, and he answered correctly. I think I asked him something like, what's my definition of a daiquiri? And he answered simply, "Meow." Daiquiri is my cat.

Oh those pictures, PITTER PAT!!
I'm usually pretty good at finding stuff but I must be desperately out of the loop for this one because I've heard mention a few times of Sean's own board and a "certain yahoo board/club" but can't find either.
By the way, that "certain" wasn't me being coded or cute, it's how I remember it being mentioned.
Any help would be much much appreciated.

CERTAINly I can help you! movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/Sean_Murray_Fanclub/You can browse the messages archive if you're not a member (unlike the NCIS Yahoo board) but to post new messages or replies you need to join the group.

I assume you are talking about the promo shot: I wasn't talking that one specifically but I always assumed ARTISTICALLY, they would chose the photo with the socially awkward geek not touching anyone. They would never isolate, say, Jenny or Ziva (apart from the fact there are fewer women) because they were desperately trying to integrate them into the cast in the audience's mind. I'm not sure what they were going for in the pairing off anyway, I would have done a more cohesive shot with some people touching more than one person. But then I'm a great fan of M.C. Escher: It might have got a bit uncomfortable for the subjects. I would love to see the other versions of the shots.

They weren't going for anything in the pairing off. I think you're reading too much into it. These were Sean's comments on it last January. There was also a "tux shot" that was taken, perhaps someone still has it somewhere to show you so you know which one that is. movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/Sean_Murray_Fanclub/message/3112

Thanks for the link.
I may well be reading too much into it but I think the mind of DPB operates on many levels. He ses every opportunity to guide the viewer's minds the way he wants. I don't think the decision would have been made during the shoot, it would have been done in post production.
And I had an idea how they could keep the pairing up idea and not have one man left standing: Have a female corpse on a gurney in the front of the photo with Ducky looking lovingly into her eyes, match up the rest of the cast and then put Palmer and Lee under the gurney doing what they do best.
I'm sure you will all be relieved to learn that photography is only a hobby and I do have a day job.
And I wonder if the tux shot is the one I refer to as the funeral shot. I'll search on the net for it later.

LOL! Anyway so that our poor Timmy doesn't feel left out... still, I don't think Sean minds much. McGee really does need a love interest, though. I think she should be brunette, abotu 5' 6"-ish, hazel eyes, has a passion for reading and writing... Um... sorry. Daydreams again. I wish they'd let Sean out of his "actor cage" (so named because that's where they put actors when they aren't working) so that he could reply to some of this and give us his input on such important and pressing matters... ;D CBS has been keeping him in there for too long, don't you think?

Saskie, thanks for the link. Now I have all sorts of things distracting me from the new McGee fic I'm working on though. ;D Edited to add: I got the first chapter up for anyone looking for a little McGee fiction. I'm parking it at fanfiction.net for now but I'd like to move it to blogger when I get time because it's set up to be the blog of a girl who meets McGee. www.fanfiction.net/s/3333350/1/

Don't think of it as "distraction." Think of it as "seeking inspiration." A woman can justify pretty much anything if she tries hard enough.

I tried searching on fanfic.net under Que Sera Sera and I found a few, but no NCIS ones. The site seems to be having problems today anyway. I'm going to try to put a link to my latest thing - Old Wives Club where McGee is captured by a bunch of sex-crazed old ladies and see if the link works. www.fanfiction.net/s/3331248/1/Edited: OK that worked so the link to your story is : www.fanfiction.net/s/3333350/1/I know you can make this link nicer but it worked for me.

Thanks for fixing my link Oz, I don't know why those url tags don't work here. I just read your new one, that was a HOOT and a half. Y'know, I crochet, and I'm never going to look at a granny square afghan the same way again. I've created a blog for the story, I think it makes more sense in that format: beingdoristoday.blogspot.com/and there's a new entry up too.
