I've noticed the darker lipstick on the Director as well. I'm not sure if it's my imagination or if it was intentional, but it seemed to me like there was a correlation between the Director's obsession with the Frog and the darker shades of lipstick. The darker color gave the Director a more severe, almost harsh look at times. I think Lauren Holly has very soft, pretty features and I kind of wonder if they used the dark shades of lipstick to keep her from having the more approachable, softer beauty she normally has on the show. The Director was a woman on a mission to get the Frog and wasn't going to let ANYTHING get in her way of getting her man....and the darker lipstick definitely made her look less approachable and even brittle, as if her pursuit was consuming every bit of her. Anyway that's just my take on the whole liptstick thing. I agree the lighter shades of lipstick are more complimentary to her looks but seriously....Lauren Holly could wear lime green lipstick and still be pretty....interesting looking for sure.... but still pretty I like the Director's hair this season as well. I'm glad to see it growing out some. I thought the pixie cut was cute on her....but in general I just tend to like longer hairstyles. I always liked to see how Jenny's hair would be fixed when it was longer. But anyway......I guess that's enough rambling for now ~Jamie

Wow, that was a really deep, cool analysis of the whole lipstick thing!! You get karma for that, hehehe. I agree they should let her hair grow, I think she looks so much younger and prettier when it's long, even though she's always pretty.

DPB was trying to have her hair more severe at one point - I know I read that, so the lipstick could be very probable as well. ETA: They say there's actually a lot of subtle meaning conveyed when they do costumes, for example putting a character who is very private in layers. Lots of it is stuff I'd never catch if not for the production people saying something.

In 'What woman want' she played the ex-wife of the man character. So she was in a few scenes but not many. One of the first scenes was at her new wedding, and she looked amazing.

Thanks. She looks like she's playing a very sweet character - until that shot in purple!

I got a kick out of her in the Bruce Lee Story - I caught her for a couple of minutes while channel surfing. She seemed so young!
