Ohmigoshh I want to go so bad! I'm going to ask for the trip for my 18th b-day present and do pathetic puppy dog eyes so my parents can't refuse

www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g32655-d78682-Reviews-Beverly_Garland_s_Holiday_Inn-Los_Angeles_California.htmltripadvisors take on the hotel. Not really surprised that they changed hotels, got the feeling at this years event that they might have to. That being said, it does not mention how you get to the hotel if you don't have access to a car. The Airways bus to the old hotel was nice and easy and $3 each way. Wonder what size the rooms will be if you want to share? The price for a room does look less here, so maybe enough of us had single rooms for them to deem a share is not a high requirement. Like the fact that it looks like you have more to do locally, if you find the time!!! So maybe the only drawback is how to get to the hotel from LAX. Just read a review that mentions a[/color] free airport shuttle. Only mention I've seen of this, so not sure if it is true. Does our trusty Native Guide have info on this hotel? Not that I'm able to go this year, but I will follow with interest.

I won't be attending next year either, but I'm planning on returning for 2009. I need to move this year and the budget just doesn't allow both.

It says the transportation from the airport is by taxi -- ouch! There are airport shuttles, perhaps our trusty native guide can recommend something. I notice it doesn't mention having a free breakfast buffet and there is only one restaurant on site.

This is the same hotel which for years hosted the Hollywood Collectors Show. It's right off the freeway, and depending upon which route we took between the Airtel and Skeletons in the Closet, we likely drove right past it at least once. There are several airport shuttle companies which will be cheaper than taxis. Prime Time Shuttles, Super Shuttles, Karmel, Cloud 9 are just some of the possibilities. And there's a possibility your Trust Native Guide could be bribed.

There's one within a couple of miles. Not as close as the other one.

Also, Smoke House (where the Round Table was held) is one of the restaurants listed on beverlygarland.com as being local to the venue. Across the freeway and up the street. We'll be a little closer to Skeletons in the Closet, too. ;D
