Kind of scary that we already have 10 episodes of season 5. Does the US Marine Corps/Navy have the rank of corporal? I know Google is my friend, I'll go look ;D
Yes they do.
United States Marine Corps Corporal (Cpl) is the fourth enlisted rank in the U.S. Marine Corps, ranking immediately above Lance Corporal and immediately below Sergeant. The Marine Corps, unlike the Army, has no other rank at the pay grade of E-4. Corporal is the lowest grade of non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, though promotion to Corporal traditionally confers a large jump in authority and responsibility compared to promotion from Private through Lance Corporal. It is also the first Marine rank requiring competition among peers rather than simple "time in grade" promotions and therefore sometimes difficult to attain. Marine Corporals generally serve as "fire-team leaders," commanding a 4-man team or unit of similar size. In support units, they direct the activities of junior Marines and provide technical supervision. Because of its emphasis on small-unit tactics, the Marine Corps usually places Corporals in billets where other services would normally have an E-5 or E-6 in authority. Similarly, the term "Strategic Corporal" refers to the special responsibilities conferred upon a Marine Corporal.

I'm going to hazard a guess - a Marine Corporal is beaten to death in a course of Dungaree/Vigalante justice.
And that's probably the last new one we'll get before Christmas, although we have gotten eleven the last two years, so maybe we'll get one more. It'll depend on whether we get four eps in November or three.

Oh, you guys are getting tricked into the predictable plot line. Obviously, the title means that Gibbs will finally realize the headslaps aren't doing any good and institute a spanking policy when anyone misbehaves. Which will, naturally, cause more misbehavior than ever, mostly by the Director.

It's a movie reference. Are you trying to say they are letting Tony help with the titles these days?

Sniger, snigger. just looked at the storyline on IMDB for "Corporal Punishment" film "Spanking anthology film with two stories. In the first, a college dean catches a coed cheating on an exam and, after an intense interrogation, the student fingers a woman who sells term papers and test answers. As punishment, both lovely ladies are severely spanked. In the second tale, two women wreck a classic 1963 Corvette while out on a drunken spree. The Corvette's owner vents his frustration on the buxom ladies' bottoms." So are we saying another of Tony's cars gets smashed? BTW the company responsible for this film is "Harmony Concepts" Boy it's been a long weekend, without the Season 4 DVDs to keep me entertained

There's a general spoiler for an unknown ep, "Later in Nov, a violent confrontation with a marine who thinks he's still in Iraq leaves three of the team bloodied and hospitalized."
Do you think that might refer to this one? It would be a Marine and kind of a punishment.

Do you think that might refer to this one? It would be a Marine and kind of a punishment. Based on the A Marine Corporal with PSTD breaks out of a hospital and the team investigates. Things get a little dangerous for the team. posted over at FoN on this ep's thread, I'd guess "yeah."

I found this at Friends of NCIS.
"I found this information askelizabeth.typepad.com/weblog/2007/10/ncis---episode-.htmlNCIS - Episode 5.10 - Corporal Punishment - Casting Breakdown NCIS Episode 5.10 will be called "Corporal Punishment" and will air on 27th November 2007 on CBS. NCIS is a television series starring Mark Harmon. These are all characters featured in the November 27th episode. They are not real people. From SpoilerTv.blogspot.com Marine Corporal Damon Werth Late 20s, extremely fit, muscular and tall - 6'0" or taller, this highly trained "killing machine" is about to be decorated for heroism after a long tour in Iraq. Intensely committed to the Corps and nicknamed "Corporal Punishment" for the incredible rescue efforts of his captured squad in Iraq, Werth is currently at Bethesda being treated for post traumatic stress disorder. Dangerous and completely delusional, he stages a breakout and goes on a rampage. In his mind, he's still at war - although he occasionally comes back to reality where he appears tortured and emotional. There may be a shocking cause for his insane behavior -- a mystery that Gibbs and his team will ultimately unravel. MARINE HAIRCUT REQUIRED. Guest Star; NAVY Lieutenant Dr. Adrian Dela Casa Late 30s-50, Latino, tired and overworked, this doctor and attending psychiatrist at Bethesda is taken hostage by the escaping Werth. Rescued unharmed, he maintains his professionalism and decorum despite being badly shaken by his experience. When being questioned by the NCIS team, he is suspected of performing some taboo experiments on Werth. MARINE HAIRCUT REQUIRED. Guest Star; Karen Sutherland 30s, brilliant, professional, positive and upbeat, she's a research and development engineer at a biotech company who has been developing cutting-edge new prosthetics for returning war vets. Suspected of helping her company implement a highly unethical "super soldier" program, Karen later proves to be a scrupulously honest and socially conscious woman who is devoted to charitable works and operates according to a strict code of personal ethics that is unshakable. Guest Star; Ray Vincent Late 30s, a sharply tailored guy, this slick public relations consultant for the Navy is a smooth operator who is more concerned with appearances than substance. When Werth breaks out of Bethesda shortly before a ceremony to honor him as a hero, Vincent goes into damage control mode -- but his self-serving methods put him at odds with the disgusted Gibbs from the outset. Guest Star; Marine PFC Nathan Stone Early 20s, a soldier in Werth's unit, this gung-ho, baby-faced young man lost a limb in Iraq, and is currently undergoing rehabilitation in a V.A. hospital. He has Werth to thank for saving his life, but he's shocked to learn that Werth has gone off the deep end and is presently at large. MARINE HAIRCUT REQUIRED - PLEASE ALSO SUBMIT ACTORS WHO HAVE LOST A LIMB. Guest Star; Chris Jenkins Late 20s-30s, a civilian hospital orderly who works at Bethesda. He's knocked down by the escaping Werth, who crashes through a window at the facility. We later learn that Jenkins has expensive tastes which the NCIS team believes he supports by stealing drugs from the hospital's pharmacy. Guest Star. "

Good grief, after we saw the job he made of himself with the Bic razor in Hiatus 2, I'm amazed they've not let him become hair artiste for all of NCIS.
No, no no.... no, it's not make-believe. He really shaved his hair in the sink. Nobody else did it and the cameras were cut to make it look like Mark had done it. HE did it!!! By himself!!! With no help!!
I think.
