They'll find some way to get him out of it. I'm a little miffed that NCIS won't be on next week, that means a week delay to see Frame Up, and in turn, this one the following week.
BTW, Sean said last night in chat that "The Second Man" will most likely get a title change. He didn't say what it would be changed to, though.

WooHoo! Zack from Dark Angel! OOOOWWW!! I didn't notice that if you haven't said it!! heh.. I hope one day, they're gonna bring in 'Alec' as Tony's Baltimore buddy. And thanks a lot, Gibbsgirl!! Jeez.. I can't imagine how devastated McGee will be after this, poor thing! He had not only killed a cop, but he's gonna be investigated by a bunch of, very likely furious, cops. This gotta be good and I'm so looking forward to it. And there's something I saw here and I know I really wanna see, i.e. 'Director Shephard overruled Gibbs'. Yes, about dang time. I hope this is gonna cause some tension amongst the team, because usually, that'd guarantee some great hurt/comfort stuff. I can almost picture a scene where McGee is giving up and believed that he did wrong and Gibbs, an angry Gibbs, just assured him that it was a good shot. *sigh* I hope that'll really happen. I wonder what's the troublesome phone call that Tony's gonna get. It could be from his old Baltimore buddy (in case he called in for help) or considered what *might be* happened in Frame Up, maybe someone hung themselves in jail. Yes, I know, I'm evil, but it's either unwanted women or real serious bad stuff that Tony would consider them troublesome, I believe.

This ep is just gonna be tough. I know the next one will be as well for Tony, but this will be just as bad. I'm just a little afraid as to what will happen. I figure it'll have some sort of happy ending. Alright, maybe not like fairy tale happy, but something that's gonna be okay in the end. Though the only thing I can think of is how in one of those videos with DPB where he says this season will be darker or whatnot.
Good to see that Chip isn't in this episode though. I definitely didn't need to see him. Of course, from what I've been hearing he isn't in Tony's episode either throwing out many possible theories some of us had concerning the episode and him. Though it is also a possibility he might be and DPB is just going to spring that on us hoping we'll be thrown for a loop.
Anyway, I'm willing to bet this episode will be good. Possibly a little emotional, but good. (Be prepared with tissues...)

Chip is in Frame Up but he is not in Probie. That leads me to suspect he's out ot here. Or it might just mean he's not in every episode.

Even if the shooting is deemed justified, or unavoidable, Tim is still going to be completely broken up by the fact that he's had to kill somebody. I hope that they don't sort of ignore the fact and have things get back to normal in the next episode (like after Heartbeat & Chained for Kate & Tony)

Ok this will probably earn me a Gibbs slap of my own (gets ready to duck) but I watched the trailer for Probie and can't wait to see it but ....... it was so wrong Ziva giving Tony a slap even on Gibbs instructions. If memory (a very faulty one ) serves me rightly Tony snapped at Kate when she tried, saying only Gibbs could do that and rightly so. Okay I've had my rant so I'll now and go back to listening to my country music. Cheers

I totally agree with swingcat about the headslapping, it is a Gibbs trait! However I did like when Tony did it to Palmer in Red Cell - but he was acting like Gibbs according to Abby & McGee so I think thats okay. Like swingcat, enough of my ranting now - boy us aussies love to talk .. one last thing for swingcat, how did you get to see the preview? coz the videos on CBS site NEVER works for me ok, i'm done... for the moment

*sits in the "Gibbs is the only one can head slap Tony" camp and grumbles at Ziva...* Seriously... if it's not episodes throwing Tony in with Ziva, it's the damn little stuff like that to tick me off.

I saw a preview with a little bit more then all the others were showing. There's a part that makes the death even more suspicious, but it's annoying to see Gibbs giving Ziva permission to hit Tony. I'm really excited about seeing this tomorrow. I can't wait to see McGee grow up a bit more. I do like how Jen refers to him as a 'boy' because it just proves even more how everyone sees him as not completely grown up and perhaps that this will prove a bit he's not a child. Though I hope what I enjoy about him is not suddenly snatched from him to make McGee stern and unfeeling. Those are the charateristics that make him who he is. I can understand how it may be the end of 'probie', but in a lot of ways I really hope it isn't.

I don't think McGee could ever become stern and unfeeling - it just isn't in him to be so jaded, not permanently in any case, no matter what happens to him.
I think maybe some of his innocence will disappear, he'll be more aware of some of the harsher realities of being an NCIS field agent. In some ways, it will make him grow up, but I think maybe, only in the sense of how he goes about doing his job as an agent. I don't think it's going to turn him bitter or scared. But I do think that some of his naivete (whatever is left of it, after realizing that Ari sniped at him specifically, in Twilight/Kill Ari Part 1) will be blown away with that fateful shot he fires.
We pretty much know he'll get through it and the team will find some way to prove it was justified, or clear his name, or whatever they happen to do. But he will have to live with the bare bones fact that he killed a man. It'll be interesting to see how this affects him, long term and short term both.
In any case, I can't WAIT to see it tomorrow night!
