9.5. * LOVED Gibbs and Tony in the field - even if it was just for that one scene. The Guy talk and then SNAP - into Special Agent mode for both of them. * Dead. Deceased too? * Poor Ducky - or should I say poor Sophie for daring to do what she did to the silver. (Not unhappy though because she was trying to do what Ducky warned Jimmy against.) * New McNickname: McTattle * The kids felt like a team again this week. * Marines running on the beach looked like real Marines running on the beach. * Team realizing that they were flashing back to Mann. * Gibbs telling Borin that he wouldn't be calling her Abby. ;D More after I re-watch

I thought it was average. Nothing spectacular (better than the previous ep), but nothing offensive. One thing I couldn't quite figure out was why Gibbs had Tony stay in the hospital - that was a probie's job, not a SFA's, and it kept Tony away from the rest of the team for too much of the ep for me. Ziva looked fantastic - Cote always does - but once again, there seemed to be a weird thing with stuff dropping out of the screen which prompts the question: are they filming the show in widescreen now? Or do I need to replace my old, crappy tv? Sad about Mrs. Mallard, though. Yes, they've been filming in widescreen (HD) all season - and last season too - but most affiliates are still sending out the broadcast in SD (full-screen). It's perfect when I watch on-line to take notes for my Observations for another board.

Will comment later but I thought she was tailing someone, not on a stake out. Would that make a difference? I would think so since she was sitting outside the 1st wife's house with a camera. She also went to question the PI on her own. Added to my original post.

I LOVED this episode! 10!
It reminded a lot of Season 1/Season 2 episodes. Good case. Good team scenes without outside "help" (read interference).
* A really good case with a nice twist. * Tony and Tim - partners again ;D * Happy Ducky. * Abby back to being Abby. * Friendly banter without rancor. * Three words: Rock Creek Park ;D * Potential "Uh Oh" - McGee's (and probably Tony's too) record for breaking into the impound lot in Inside Man from last season not expunged as promised. * Nothing like Dead and UnBuried. * Gibbs and Ducky. * Probie Ziva being "assigned" to get Tony's coffee, not Tim. * Abby fostering a future Seeing Eye Dog.
My only minor nitpick was that Ziva was out in the field on a stakeout alone and I would have felt the same way if it was Tony or Tim when they were Probie's.
Will add more after I re-watch.

We've had a plethora of rebroadcasts due to the Olympics (CBS chose, wisely in my opinion, not to compete) and March Madness - the NCAA basketball tournament which will be airing on CBS.
Next season we'll still have March Madness (I think CBS still has the rights) but won't have the 2 week-long Olympics so the rebroadcasts might be fewer. Remember the network has to stretch out 24 episodes from Mid-September to Mid/Late-May.

I'm still sure that this is not a retread. Man the pre-airing complaints are very loud these days.

10! I couldn't find anything NOT to like and didn't budge from in front of my TV even during the commercials.
Gena Rowlands was as perfectly cast as Michael Nouri, Ralph Waite and RJ Wagner.
Even with Gibbs telling him he could "get out" I'm glad that it was Tony that found him in a vulnerable state and he quietly left him alone.
Jimmy's got a girlfriend - let's hope she doesn't turn out to be an assassin like Tim's last honey or a traitor like HIS last honey.
Vance and Gibbs once again having something going on (wink wink, nudge nudge, Bob's your Uncle) when they hoodwinked the civilian detective.
Mother-In-Law/Son-In-Law shared pain.
will add more after I re-watch once it's posted on-line.

Last night I gave it an 8. Slept on it and decided it was a fair rating so left it at that. Edit: I lied - I dropped it down to a 7. All the great Gibb/Fornell scenes were overpowered by Tony/Ziva. I think this is the lowest I've ever gone with a Jesse Stern written episode. Sigh.
Things I liked: All the Gibbs/Fornell scenes - great writing for these 2. Tony and Tim in the van scenes. Appearance of Burt the Hippo. FU - EL. Tim hyped up on caffeine after many bouts of catnaps. Gibbs Charger and Fornell driving it.
Didn't like Tony/Ziva scenes. So much baseball bat that my head still hurts. Not enough Abby or Ducky. No Vance and no Jimmy.

9.0 Lots to absorb in this one with a lot of subtext. Definitely more than meets they eye. Unless I'm totally off my mark our "Not So Friendly Neighborhood Lawyer" is going to play heavily (along with a certain Colonel) into the Season Finale and the fates of "Team Gibbs."
Right now I hope to high Heaven that Gibbs is playing her.

This just in from TV Guide: Top Moments. www.tvguide.com/News/Moments-Incestuous-Kiss-1014353.aspxThis is the comment about NCIS: Los Angeles: 6. Best Foreshadowing: On NCIS: Los Angeles, it's generally safe to assume that the week's case — no matter how complex and bloody — will be solved within the hour. So color us surprised when the team left the missing-persons case of kidnapped fellow agent Dom unfinished. Is he dead? Alive? We have no idea. Now that's how you plant a plot seed.

9.5 Cons: Nora almost dying ( Shoot, she didn't die? >> I didn't exactly like her as much.) Oh yes, just what Tony and Ziva would have needed - a 2nd protectee that died under their watch. There would go Ziva's goal to be an Agent and Tony would likely be fired.

I may change my vote after I re-watch but for now I gave it a 8.0. Too "T-word" heavy for my tastes. Had the focus not been so geared toward "did they or didn't they" I think I would have rated it higher. I was more interested in the case which had me guessing for the 1st 35 minutes of the episode but T/Z distracted me too much.
Would liked to have seen more of Gibbs and McGee, their scenes seemed a bit flat.
Did love the scenes in interrogation with Gibbs confronting the "Madam" and Gibbs asking Ducky "Are you asking me out on a date, Duck?"
Edit after re-viewing: Sticking with my 8.0 rating.
