I really don't think they'll kill off a single mom. I also don't think they'll do that to Gibbs.
I'm one who really likes Ryan. With Mann it never felt like Mark was comfortable with those scenes but this time it comes across to me that he's actually enjoying this Gibbs relationship.

A mystery ! Tony's Tartlets #70 died in Mar. 2010. Tony's Tartlets #71 (this one) was revived in Nov. 2011. There have been less than 2 pages of posts since then. What happened? This is a great forum but many have left. I can guess they went to Twitter, Facebook or the now defunct CBS boards. But I think there is more to it than that. ? I pop in now and again but I mostly stick to the Yahoo and IMDb boards. I'm on Twitter but not on one of the NCIS feeds and I rarely use Facebook for anything other than family stuff and never NCIS.

Wow some on must hate Tony for his cover he's only a petty officer 3rd class Wow really LOL. Its not a creditable cover because with the Navy's up or out system to be a P.O. 3rd class at his age he'd need to be at a minimum Chief Petty officer or he'd be out. Poor Tony and Ziva a 1st lieutenant lol Actually Tony is a 1st Class Petty Officer (E-6). Making chief is not an easy thing. While on active duty I knew many a sailor who retired (20+ years) as a 1st Class. The higher the rank the fewer the billets for both Enlisted and Officer. What's clear is that as a 1st Class "Taylor" has a lot more time and experience in the Navy than does "Evans" as a Lt. Here's a link to a clearer picture of Michael in costume from behind the scenes. i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff427/alessandravr/MW/bts10.pngOn a ship Enlisted personnel can fit in much better than Officers since there are far fewer officers. For this reason I actually think it's a good thing that he's enlisted.

Friend on the IMDb board is a translator (Spanish to English/English to Spanish) provided this:
"She is an an incredible woman, I couldn't do this [job] without her."
Nothing in the translation about not being the man his is w/out her.

Oh boy I am really hopefully they will end the silly stories of EJ , the evil ex FBI agent Stratton and the current crooked Sec Nav in this episode. Hopefully they will all catch lethal cases of 9mm lead poisoning because I'm tried of them already! Their all just silly stereotypical dramatic character contrivances that add nada to NCIS . Really they desperately need to get some fresh writers because so far this season "grand story line" has been a annoying torturous bore. This was a relatively new writer. I'm so sorry but it was not a good episode. It had a few great moments though. * The witness that kept saying she doesn't like to get involved. Hysterical. * The hotel clerk. Also hysterical. * Gibbs yelling at Tony to stop yelling at EJ. All three were great is this scene. I love it when Tony gets the opportunity to show his anger because Michael is so "darn" good at it. * Tony opening up to the exhausted EJ who'd drifted off to sleep and him covering her up. * Gibbs telling SecNav that Stratton/Cole is "gunning for my best agent".

Lowest vote since Jet Lag. 5 out of 10. Saving grace Gibbs telling SecNav that Tony is his best agent and Michael's performance. Ending horrible. I've got a headache from the 1,000 lb anvil that they dropped on us.

I am so thrilled that EJ is back. I liked her from the start when, as a fellow team leader, she didn't let Gibbs ride roughshod over her as he does with almost everyone who crosses his path.
Can't wait to see how this plays out tonight and am hoping for some great interaction between Tony & EJ. If the photos are any indication I think it will happen.

Loved it! I was so hopeful that Sins of the Father would make up for the abysmal Broken Arrow and boy did it. Just a few of the things that made it a 10 for me:
First - there was no humiliation humor going on. Last seasons episode was all about everyone from Senior to Gibbs to the rest of the team thinking it was funny that Senior was behaving in a way that could have hurt Tony's career at NCIS.
Continuity - Senior showing up to Tony's school but not actually attending his graduation ceremony. Made me feel really bad for 17 year old Tony. Put me in mind of the totally absent Chief Petty Officer Mayo - Zach's father in An Officer and a Gentleman. Can imagine Tony looking around for his dad after the ceremony and him not being there.
Gibbs knowing what Tony did when he thought his father stood him up for their dinner - watched a John Wayne/Claire Trevor film and Gibbs knew which one. Made me wonder if Tony went to talk to Gibbs after Senior didn't call.
Tony and Tim wrestling over the folder containing info on Senior's case.
Gibbs/Senior scenes. Gibbs: I didn't do it for you. I did it for your son. He deserves better. and Tony never wanted your money. He wants a father. Tony/Gibbs scene: Tony: I really thought I was going to lose him there for a second. And as crazy as he makes me... I do love the guy. The pathetic thing is I've never been able to tell him. Mmmm. Senior coming in from Gibbs kitchen: Consider it done, Junior. (And for the record, I love that Senior calls Tony, Junior)
Tony and Abby got a scene. This shouldn't need to be a cause for celebration but they're so rare these days I just couldn't help being overjoyed to see one. We even got a hug.
Tony disobeying orders and putting the pieces together to find the crucial piece of information that cleared his dad - talking to his father to find out where Senior was going to be taking him and then to the bartender and finding out that Senior "left" with the Secretary from Massey. BINGO!

8.0
Felt a bit flat to me. The emotional moments were glossed over - except for Gibbs finding out about his friend Joan and then at her grave.
Found it very odd that Gibbs wouldn't be wearing a helmet during the rescue mission. Found it just as odd that Ziva was giving he "Go" order to the Marines on the rescue mission. Sorry, but no way.
In Gibbs absence I'd hoped for a Tony/Abby scene but it seems they're gone for good. Their prior friendship has been sacrificed for no discernible reason.
Did love Tony's one-sided conversation with God and hope that we'll find out what his "Bargain" was. Loved we FINALLY got a mention of the events in Nature of the Beast.
Little girl sensing than he needed a hug was priceless.

One little thing stopped it from getting a 10.
Ziva head slapping Tony. 1st. That's a Gibbs thing. Period. 2nd. It didn't belong in an episode as poignant as this.

I'm thinking Diane probably had Emily staying with her grandparents for a couple of days. That's where Fornell sent her during the Fossen case.
Just a guess.
I think Diane called him Macaulay because she didn't bother to learn Tim's name. And she did call "Leroy" Mister Woodchuck.

So much to love. Very reminiscent of the earliest seasons of the show. 9.5.
Here are a few notes that I jotted down while the episode was airing:
1. Tony AND Tim :-) - hair. Tony getting Tim to check. 2. Ziva foot in mouth with the Silver hair comment. 3. Pepto Bismol and straight from the bottle. :-D 4. Do Over in Abby-ville 5. Tony / Fornell - Tony / Diane. 6. More Pepto 7. Fornell hysterical with one-liners. 8. Carol flirting with Fornell. 9. Railroad watch return. 10. Nice balance personal/case, drama/comedy 11: "You were my Shannon" - heartbreaking.

NCIS is simply awesome this season. That's 4 for 4 that I've loved. Just a few comments. Teaser scene. Whoa! That reporter was partially responsible for chasing him into the street. Lots of Tony and Tim. Love it. Smart. Competent and funny Tony. Perfect. Abby. Very nicely played my Ms Perrette. Scenes with Mark and Pauley were beautiful - especially their closing one. Daniel Louis Rivas - wonderful as Kyle - aka: Abby biological brother. Hope we get to see him again. Opps - never let the person you're protecting follow you. Think that's probably something learned in Protection Detail 101.

10! I didn't think MW could top his "strapped to a chair" performance in Truth or Consequences but I was so very wrong. He was FABULOUS! Seeing Tony so vulnerable was heart wrenching.
Loved Gibbs understated protectiveness of is top agent. Loved the return of Rachael - and that Gibbs called her to help his friend/agent. Loved that there is a very good possibility that EJ is still alive. Love that it seems that Tony's life if going to be in danger until Team Gibbs - tracks the bad guys down and have to "work together as they never have before". Love that the SecNav isn't bad after all and that Vance is in full Director mode to protect his agency and its agents.
When an episode has you saying: Oh. My. God! and WOW! and your heart rate takes over an hour to return to normal and you spend the vast majority of the episode with your hands up over your mouth you know the episode is beyond fantastic.
